About the adventure

A quiet job. A modest reward. A good first step for a new adventurer. The Church of Hel on the edge of town has fallen silent. Its priest has not answered messages, strange noises echo from the bell tower, and locals claim pests have been slipping through the graveyard after dark. Your guild has sent you to investigate. Clear out the vermin. Check on the missing priest. Make sure the crypt has not been disturbed. It should be simple. But the church is old, the dead do not seem entirely at rest, and something beneath the sanctuary has begun to stir. This campaign begins as a classic low-level adventure filled with goblins, rats, bats, crumbling crypts, suspicious clergy, and hidden secrets. From there, it unfolds into a darker story of lost souls, broken divine laws, ancient guardians, and a threat that reaches far beyond one forgotten church. It has elements from Norse mythology and I pull from the Northlands book.

About me

Hello everyone! My name is Brooke and I have been playing D&D for close to 10 years and sprinkled DM-ing in that time. My husband got me into playing D&D with him and our friends. I thoroughly enjoy everything related to Tabletop Games.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will start at level one - roll for stats. You start with an additional feat and a rare item.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using DNDbeyond. You just need a free account, you don't need to pay for it. Same for discord. A camera is not required. I will not be using one. Just a good microphone so you are coherent and able to be heard.

What Brooke brings to the table

I tend to lean towards the Rule of Cool. We will have a session Zero to go over the rules and boundaries.

Homebrew rules

I use crit fumbles and crit successes. You can drink a potion as a bonus action.
