About the adventure

Step forth into a brand-new chronicle as one of Gaia's lupine warriors, called upon to undertake a sacred and terrible task: track down and kill a creature of perfect purity - the Sacred Deer. As the Pack follows its quarry through the wilds of Greece, facing spirits, enemies, ancient secrets, and increasingly arduous trials, they begin to realize that the myth surrounding their holy prey is not what it first appears to be. Something lies at the end of the hunt, and Gaia has not summoned her warriors without reason. Through their journey, the Garou will be tested and transformed. Pack loyalty will clash with ambition, heroism with hubris, and sacred duty with the promise of reward. When their true purpose is finally revealed, they may discover that hunting the Sacred Deer was only the beginning. The Hunt for the Sacred Deer is a dark, character-driven chronicle for Werewolf: The Apocalypse 5th Edition, exploring tragedy, loyalty, hubris, sacrifice, and the terrible burden of being one of Gaia's warriors. Expect a story deeply rooted in Garou lore, set against the mountains, forests, villages, and forgotten places of the Greek countryside, where the spirit world still breathes beneath the modern one. The hunt has begun. And some things considered sacred were never meant to be found.

About me

Hello adventurers and heroes, nice to meet you! I'm Babis, a professional Game Master, game designer, and writer from Greece, with more than 15 years of experience working in the gaming industry. I've been playing RPGs for almost 30 years and telling stories for more than 20, while my professional journey has given me the opportunity to work on board games and RPG projects for companies and worlds that I genuinely love. Throughout all these years, however, one thing has remained the same: nothing excites me more than sitting around a table and creating an unforgettable story together with my players. I specialize in character-driven, cinematic games where your choices matter and your characters are at the heart of the story. Vampire: The Masquerade and the World of Darkness are very close to my heart, but you'll also find me running Daggerheart, Dungeons & Dragons, Savage Worlds, and other systems whenever there is a great story waiting to be told. Whether you've been roleplaying for decades or you're about to roll your very first dice, you're more than welcome at my table. Bring me an interesting character and a willingness to become part of the story, and together we'll take care of the rest!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place together during Session 0, so you don't need to arrive with a finished character! Think about the kind of Garou you would like to portray: their appearance, personality, ambitions, strengths, flaws, and most importantly, what lies closest to their heart and what they would be willing to fight for. During Session 0, we'll build your characters together, assign the necessary dots to your sheets, and establish the foundations of your Pack. From there, we'll jump straight into the chronicle. Your Pack will begin the hunt together, but it is through the hunt that its most important bonds will be forged.

The current party

🐺 PACK FORMING - 3 Garou have answered Gaia's call. Two more can join the pack to begin the hunt!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Make sure you have a working mic and a stable internet connection. Then you'll need to join our server on Discord, and on Alchemy. And you are ready to begin!

What Babis brings to the table

Expect a character-driven experience where your choices matter and the story develops around your Pack. I use distinct NPC voices, atmospheric music, evocative descriptions, maps, artwork, and handouts to bring the dark world of Werewolf and the Greek countryside to life. My games put roleplaying and storytelling first, while leaving plenty of room for investigation, exploration, and intense combat when the claws finally come out. I embrace the Rule of Cool when it creates a memorable moment, but I also believe that consequences matter, especially in a game like Werewolf, where Rage can turn even the best intentions into tragedy. Most importantly, I want the Pack to feel like a Pack. Your relationships, disagreements, loyalties, and the things your characters are willing to sacrifice for one another will be just as important as the enemies you hunt. As a Greek Storyteller living in Greece, I'll also bring plenty of local character into the chronicle. Expect real Greek locations, folklore, mythology, customs, and little details from the countryside woven naturally into the World of Darkness, not as a history lesson, but as part of a world that feels alive. Come for the hunt. Stay for the Pack. And remember: the monster is not always the creature you're hunting.

Safety

How Babis creates a safe table

We will go through safety and player comfort during Session 0, making sure everyone is comfortable with the themes and boundaries of our story before the Hunt begins. I use Lines & Veils, and we'll establish together which subjects should remain outside the game or happen off-screen. We'll also discuss decompression, check-ins, and other safety tools that allow everyone to communicate comfortably if a scene becomes more intense than expected. Playing in the World of Darkness can sometimes explore dark and mature themes, but your comfort always comes before the story. My goal is to create an exciting, dramatic, and occasionally intense experience that remains enjoyable both during the session and after we leave the table.
