About the adventure

Beginning at 3rd level, you'll uncover strange dangers, make allies among Wildwood's inhabitants, and discover that protecting a forest means more than fighting those who threaten it. By the time the fate of the Wildwood rests in your hands, you'll have to decide what kind of guardians you want to become. Guardians of the Green is a Pathfinder 2e campaign for 3rd–8th level characters, designed specifically around a party of leshies. The campaign combines Paizo's A Fistful of Flowers, A Few Flowers More, and a modified Pactbreaker (Wardens of Wildwood: Book 1) into a single story about young leshies growing into protectors of the Verduran Forest. The adventure begins with the characters defending their fellow leshies and gradually expands into a much larger struggle involving the forest's communities, its neighbors, ancient agreements, and the forces threatening the Wildwood. This campaign uses official Paizo adventures, adapted and connected into a new story. Some encounters and story elements are flexible, allowing your choices to meaningfully shape the adventure. Your character will have opportunities to establish connections with important NPCs before the adventure begins. The forest raised you. Now it's your turn to protect it.

About me

Hello and welcome! I’m Billyfrog, and I run tabletop roleplaying games built around community, tactical depth, and shared storytelling. For me, GMing is much more than monster and rules, it’s about creating a warm, stress-free space where players can unplug, connect with awesome people, and feel empowered to try incredible things. Whether we’re rolling dice virtually or with physical dice at home, my goal is always the same: to deliver a welcoming, accessible environment where everyone gets their moment in the spotlight. Outside of GMing, I love cultivating plants, caring for my pets, and playing modern Board Games. If you’re looking for a campaign that balances deep mechanical choices with a relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere, you’ve found the right table!

Character creation

Creating your character

This campaign is for 3rd-level leshy characters, advancing to 8th level. Leshy ancestry is required. 9 pregenerated leshies are available if you'd rather pick a character. Adopted Ancestry: In addition to Leshy ancestry feats, you may choose ancestry feats from one other ancestry of your choice. Allowed: All official Paizo Pathfinder 2e content; no third-party options. Variants: Free Archetype, Gradual Ability Boosts, Automatic Bonus Progression. Build your own: Pathbuilder 2e is recommended, and I'm happy to help in Discord. Your character will also choose a Wildwood NPC connection, language, and Lore during character creation. These choices will matter during the campaign and can provide unique benefits. Whether you're completely new to Pathfinder 2e or you want to theorycraft your character, I'm happy to help you build a character that is right for you. You don't need to know the rules or have a detailed backstory before Session 1. Just bring a leshy who cares about Wildwood.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

1. Have a Discord Account & Mic: Ensure you have a free Discord account and a working microphone. Once you sign up on StartPlaying, you will get the Discord invite link. 2. Log In Using a Computer: Join using a laptop or desktop computer with a standard-sized screen and a modern browser. Foundry VTT will not work on phones or tablets, as it requires a standard display size and basic graphics processing to render the game maps properly. Forge (FoundryVTT hosting) is free and No VTT account or software downloads are required! 3. Jump Right In (No Tech Stress!) You don't need to have a character pre-made or master any software before game day. I can help you pick a pregenerated iconic or build a character before we play, and I'm always happy to teach and assist you with the digital tools so you feel comfortable and confident at the table.

What Billyfrog brings to the table

A Streamlined, Player-Friendly Foundry Setup: I invest a lot of care into prepping the virtual tabletop so your play experience is smooth, intuitive, and frustration-free. Tested Maps & Lighting: Fully pre-configured lighting and wall vision for seamless exploration. In-Game Reference Guides: Handy rules summaries and action cheat sheets are built right into Foundry for easy viewing. Atmosphere & Playstyle Custom Created Adventure ModuleAmbient Soundscapes: Curated background audio brings every location and tactical encounter to life. Zero-Pressure Roleplay: Roleplay with me as much as you like, or just roll dice! Enjoy the game how you'd like in a comfortable, supportive space. Tactical "Action-Puzzle" Combat: Engaging encounters that reward positioning, teamwork, and creative strategy. Rules-As-Intended Philosophy: We follow official rules for stability, but logic, player intent, and narrative fun always win over pedantic rule-lawyering. A Patient, Supportive GM: You get a GM dedicated to your fun. I keep a smooth pace, happily guide you through the software and mechanics whenever needed, and ensure a friendly, welcoming table where everyone gets to shine.

Homebrew rules

Official Variant Rules: Free Archetype, Gradual Ability Boosts, and Automatic Bonus Progression are used in all campaigns. House Rules: Helping Hand: Use an Interact action to assist an adjacent Prone ally, allowing them to stand using their Reaction. Two-Handed Draw & Sheathe: An Interact action lets you draw or sheathe with both hands. Seamless Retraining: Character retraining or rebuilding requires only GM approval (granted freely between sessions) with no downtime cost. Hero Point System: Start sessions with up to 3 Hero Points (earned through Discord activity, early check-ins, and being ready on time). Rerolls keep the higher result and can be shared with party members. Hero Points recharge after breaks when used.

Safety

How Billyfrog creates a safe table

Your safety and comfort at the table are top priorities. Before Session 1, every player has a chance to set Veils and Lines. Session 0 covers table expectations directly: cooperative, non-PvP play; a zero-tolerance policy on hate speech, harassment, and bullying; and an explicitly LGBTQ+-friendly, inclusive table. During the game, players can pause, step away, or flag a concern at any time with no explanation required. Outside of session, a private GM ticket system and a fully anonymous feedback channel in our Discord server are always open for feedback, boundary requests, or concerns — I address anything raised without identifying who brought it up. After intense scenes and after the sessions, we take a few minutes for to debrief and check-in before wrapping up.
