About the adventure
For centuries, the starship Chains of Judgement served the Inquisition of the Imperium, transporting the most dangerous renegades to their doom. You are one such renegade, condemned by the Imperium of Man to destruction. Yet as you awaken from stasis, you realize that the Chaos gods have granted you one last chance to escape, if you are brave and ruthless You are. Broken Chains is an introductory adventure for Black Crusade, the game of Chaos renegades in the Warhammer 40k universe. It uses pre-generated characters and quickstart rules so that players can plunge into the action right away without needing any preparation. It's perfect for leaning the game.

Creating your character
Broken chains features four pre-generated characters the players may choose from. There's no need for any character creation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need Roll20 and Discord accounts. They will need a mic, but not a camera. Since characters are pre-generated and Broken Chains serves as an introduction to the rules, no other preparation is necessary, although some familiarity with the world of Warhammer 40K could be helpful but isn't necessary.
What Caestus brings to the table
I'll bring an understanding of the rules and a Roll20 packed with maps, enemies, music and even sound effects. It will enable effective tactical combat, which will be a major focus, along with conveying the feel of the Warhammer 40K universe. Players can expect plenty of combat with simplified Black Crusade rules that should mean things will go quickly.
