About Caestus
Hello, I'm Caestus. I've been playing roleplaying games ever since I was old enough to do so. I've played or run 100 different rpgs. I'm a big fan of science fiction and fantasy. I've been running games on StartPlaying for several years and enjoyed every second of it. While I feel that telling a good story is a key part of being a good gamemaster, more important than the story is making sure all the players at the table have a good time; I consider that the chief duty of any gamemaster. I run a wide variety of games here and I hope you enjoy playing RPGs with me.

I enjoy writing and telling stories, so gamemastering was a natural progression for me. None of my friends knew how to run a system, so I stepped in and learned, running the original Star Wars D6; I was and am a huge fan of the Star Wars expanded universe.
My favorite system of all Time is
Free League's Blade Runner. It has great investigation mechanics, a very compelling central dilemma between empathy and the needs of your job, and two superb mystery scenarios. It perfectly captures the feel of the films. I'm always excited to run it.
How Caestus runs games
I like most aspects of roleplaying games, but roleplaying and story development are my particular focuses. I don't ignore rules or neglect combat by any stretch of the imagination, but I believe player fun comes first, then story, then the exact wording of rules. I try to always accompany my virtual tabletops with images, music and sound effects to immerse the players.
