Creating your character
Character Creation: We will be using the 6 official pregenerated characters included in the deluxe box (featuring a unique hero for each core class!). This allows us to jump straight into the action without tedious setup. However, if you already have some experience and prefer to build your own Level 1 sci-fi hero using Pathbuilder or the official rules, you are more than welcome to bring them! Software & Platform: We will use Discord for voice/audio and Foundry VTT for our virtual tabletop and combat maps. You do not need to purchase any software; I provide all premium modules and assets. Safety Tools: We use Lines & Veils and a digital X-Card system to ensure everyone enjoys the game in a comfortable, respectful environment.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A Discord Account: We will use Discord for voice chat. A decent microphone and a quiet environment are highly recommended. A Web Browser: We will use Foundry VTT for our maps. You don't need to install or buy anything; you will just click a link I provide to join.No Rules Knowledge Needed: You do not need to buy or read the Starfinder 2e rules beforehand. We will cover everything you need to know as we play! Character Choice: Think about what kind of sci-fi hero you'd like to play (a tech-hacking mechanic, a solar-weapon warrior, a mystic spellcaster, etc.). We will select from the official pregenerated characters at the start of the session.

How Kevin creates a safe table
Lines and Veils: Before the game starts, we will establish what topics are completely off-limits (Lines) or will be "faded to black" (Veils) to ensure everyone's comfort. Digital X-Card: We will use a digital X-Card system. If any content during the game makes you uncomfortable, you can trigger it anonymously to pause, skip, or change the scene immediately—no questions asked. Open Door Policy: Real life comes first. If you need to step away from the table at any point for your well-being or an emergency, you are free to do so. Zero Tolerance Policy: This table is a safe space. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or toxic behavior regarding race, gender, sexual orientation, or background will result in an immediate removal from the game.
