About the adventure
You are one of the Heroes of Prophecy. The Oracle has decreed that you are the saviors of the world. About me
I started playing D&D 5e back in 2017 through Adventurer's League, and shortly after tried my hand at DMing. I've run mostly non-AL campaigns since 2019, and transitioned to using Roll20 (for tokens/maps) and Discord (for voice and video chat) in March 2020, for obvious reasons. I've also been writing as a hobby since childhood and studied performing as part of my undergraduate degree in singing, so I'm good at improv and confident in my speaking skills when it comes to voicing NPCs. I have some familiarity with other tabletop games, having played Pendragon, Gamma Worlds, and the short-lived Marvel Heroic Roleplaying before D&D 5e, as well as FATE and FATE Accelerated more recently. I've also started running Thirsty Sword Lesbians this year, and am looking forward to doing more of that in the future. I will never knowingly use generative AI and don't allow players to use it in my games either.

Creating your character
We will create characters together during Session 0. Standard array/point buy will be used for stats, and any species and subclasses from any published 2014 or 2024 D&D books are allowed, as well as the player's handbook for this campaign, which can be downloaded for free at the link below: https://modiphius.us/products/odyssey-of-the-dragonlords-players-guide-free
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have both Discord and Roll20 accounts, as well as a microphone for voice chat (camera is optional). I will send invite links to both my GM Discord and the game on Roll20. We will create characters and go over Lines and Veils during Session 0.

My focus is on storytelling and roleplay, and I'm quite good at improvising when something unexpected happens. I guarantee that even if things don't go as planned, you'll still have fun and enjoy the game! I never use background music in my games due to auditory processing issues, so fellow neurodivergent people who have auditory processing issues or sensory issues, you can rest assured that I won't be playing music or sound effects at you.
Homebrew rules
Drinking potions is a bonus action, feeding one to someone else is an action. Critical hits are max dice damage + rolled dice. So if you do 1d8 of damage, it's 8 + rolling the 1d8. This applies to enemies as well. When rolling HP at level up, if you roll below average, you take the average.

Part of game setup will be going over Lines and Veils, and we will have breaks and use the Player Safety Tools provided by Evil Hat (X card, pause, resume, rewind, etc). We'll also go over Stars and Wishes after each session as well.
