About the adventure
Welcome to Brindlewood Bay, a picturesque New England town where you can enjoy quiet walks along the harbour, weekly book club meetings and occasionally stumbling across a dead body. In Brindlewood Bay, you play as one of the Murder Mavens, a group of elderly women with a shared love of murder mystery novels and tea. Though your group does make habit of getting involved in real investigations. you will gather clues, speak to witnesses (and suspects) and create the theory that connects it all together. Unlike a traditional mystery game, there is no predetermined outcome. With the creation of a solid hypothesis (and some good dice rolls) you decide the story, but there may be consequences for bad rolls of clues you cannot make fit. It is a game filled with humour but also horror, as behind the idyllic location, something darker stirs beneath the surface. Strange symbols, unsettling rituals and whispers from beneath the waves suggest that these murders may be connected to something far more sinister.

About me
Hey! I’m Liam. When I’m not managing a class of 9-year-olds, I’m running tabletop RPGs and telling stories with people around the table. I regularly run in-person games at local stores, board game cafés and even the occasional medieval castle! When I’m not rolling dice in person, I run games online through Roll20 and Discord, including long-running groups with players spread across two continents. My games are story-focused, character-driven and usually filled with plenty of humour, horror and usually an equal measure of both. I love creating interesting encounters, memorable characters and giving players the freedom to make choices that genuinely shape the story. Depending on the game, that might mean high fantasy adventure, cosy mystery, intrigue or something much darker, with horror and dread creeping in around the edges. I particularly love games with a strong sense of atmosphere and emotion, whether that is exploring the strange whimsy of the Feywild, investigating a murder in Brindlewood Bay or discovering an entirely unexpected story through the choices made at the table. More than anything, my greatest joy as a GM is seeing what happens when a group of people come together and create a story none of us could have told alone. After all, the best tales are told together. For one-shot bookings, I can run 4, 6 or 8-hour sessions depending on what you’re looking for. 4 hours - $20 per player 6 hours - $30 per player 8 hours - $40 per player

I will ask about lines and veils before the first session which you can send to me anonymously through a google form. I have an open door policy if you wish to step out for a moment. With sessions that go into the darker territory I will always be around for a debrief.
