About the adventure
For years, the kingdoms of Palanthas have lived in relative feudal harmony. That is, until the discovery of the enemy all around us. For ages, the people were ignorant of the threat that could have been in their own village, Changelings, vile shapeshifters that could replace you and your loved ones. And for the past 3 decades, the forces of the Church of the holy light have led an inquisition to deal with the shapeshifting menace. And while much progress was made, a powerful changeling known only as the faceless queen has attacked and killed the leadership of the Holy Inquisition in their home in a surprise attack by her army of darkness. Despite this victory for the shapeshifters, none have heard from the faceless queen in 6 years. Some say she now rules her court from the shadows, planning some new terrible attack. But that's for the future. In the interim, problems are plaguing every corner of the country within the kingdom of the Vale does our adventure begins. For reasons you will detail are heading to the remote village of Haven, a frontier town so remote most maps forget it exists. Join me on one of my classic adventures that I have been running for 16 years.

What Tyrus brings to the table
18 years of experience in various games. I am a classically trained voice actor. Combat matches the players' skill and experience levels. I tend to follow more rules as intended than rules as written, but happy to let the rule of cool take stage when appropriate. I do homebrew things when needed for player progression, so expect things to change yoru character has the adventure unfold beyond the normal power progression.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion as a bonus action, Modified critical hits are x2, not extra dice. I have my own monster manual I have made over like 20 years so tones of custom monsters and foes that should make things interesting.

How Tyrus creates a safe table
Open communication of wants, needs, and hardlines. All things we will tackle in Session 0. But the rule of thumb for me is that nothing I will do will ever be that far off what you could see in, say, Baldurs Gate 3 unless requested by the party. And also, depending on the party, we can tone it way back. Part of my style is that I try not to just accept anyone to my game table. There are kinds of players who do better with my style than others. Assessing if you are a good fit before we get down to any work is crtical to everyone's happiness
