About the adventure

Echoes of The Guardians The Jedi Temple is wounded! In the aftermath of the Jedi Civil War, the Interior Sector of the Galactic Republic's defenses have been destabilized. Unbeknownst to the Jedi Order, the planet of BESTOON is faced with an awful hostage crisis. Interrupting the celebration of the Galactic Order's anniversary, a planetary blockade threatens a mass execution at the GREY HALLS OF CORONATION. SENATOR DELAFOR of Talos IV is among the captured! The worst is yet to come, as mercenaries and force-sensitive warriors are called upon to save those held captive by the vile SILENT VOICE, the Sith Assassin order. Who leads this mysterious cabal of villains? It is up to the bravest of the Interior Sector to protect the innocent of this world. Across the galaxy a transmission is sent, a ransom note from the Silent Voice! The galaxy is counting on YOU!

Character creation

Creating your character

CHARACTER CREATION In this Star Wars campaign we will be using the approved Star Wars 5e material provided in our discord channel. All material must come from these resources and be checked by me before session one. Material – All lineage and class material found in the Star Wars 5e material shared in discord are allowed in the campaign. Character Level – We will begin this campaign at 5th Level Stat Array – We will be using Standard Array or 27 Point Buy, with an additional 3 Bonus points that can be given to any Ability Score, but cannot raise a Score above 18. Hit Points – We will start with maximum Hit Points for the first 5 levels, then from here we will roll Hit Points or take the average. Equipment – Standard Starting Equipment and Credits for your Class. You can spend your Credits before Session 1 to purchase Equipment found in the Star Wars: Players Handbook. Progression – We will be using Force Alignment Progression. Similar to Milestones, you will gain Force Progression each time you perform a narrative feat, or some other important moment in the game occurs. You level up each time you reach 3 Force Alignments. A Force Alignment can be either Light Side or Dark Side. Whichever alignment you have the majority of when you level you gain special enhancements based on your Force Alignment. When you reach 3, you can choose to level up at any point during a session, gaining the benefits of the level up immediately.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

GAME FOCUS This game will be a wondrous and fantastical jaunt through the science fiction setting of Star Wars. You will play as jedi, mercenaries, or soldiers looking to save ones you care about and thwart a hostage situation caused by the Silent Voice. A countdown clock will tick down as you adventure, investigate, and battle the forces of the Silent Voice. Combat – 30% – The world of Bestoon has been invaded by assassins and bounty hunters that must be defeated to save those held captive. Roleplay – 15% – Though not the majority, character choice will come from Force Alignment and character choices in a high stakes fast paced campaign. Adventure – 20% – Traveling across the planets, using speeders to avoid evil forces, and locating key points and people of interest will help the progression of this story. Intrigue – 35% – There is a mystery afoot on Bestoon, it is up to you to uncover who leads this cabal of Sith Assassins and ensure the location and safety of those captured, such as Senator Delafor!

What Arrian brings to the table

I provide over 20 years of experience in performance, game design, and the simple love of TTRPGs. I pair that experience with professional tools and software, using a Pro Roll20 Account, Custom Designed Battle Maps made in Inkarnate Pro, as well as a boosted Discord server to provide the best connection, audio, and visuals. I additionally have access to a catalog of sound effects and music that can be used in our privately run game. I am a lover of all pillars of play and run a player centric game that will challenge both the tactical and problem solving skills of the party.

Homebrew rules

This game will be using the augmented ruleset of 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons known as Star Wars 5e, or simply SW5E. All resources for these materials are free online and any materials posted on their official page may be used in this campaign.
