Creating your character

Character creation begins with the story you want to explore. Choose an era, region, house or faction, social position, and central ambition. Your character can belong to a famous family or serve one, and/or oppose one. You can even begin far from the realm's traditional centers of power. Or you can play a character from the books/shows/spinoffs if you want. We will then establish the important people in your character's life. We will figure out how they tie into canon events and what could pull them into danger. You do not need to arrive with a completed sheet or extensive lore knowledge. • If you want mechanical support we will build a simplified A Song of Ice and Fire RPG/Burning Wheel character together. • If you prefer freeform play, we will use only the mechanics that help us resolve meaningful uncertainty. • Character beliefs, loyalties, instincts, personal goals will matter more than optimizing statistics. Only adult characters can participate in mature roleplay.

Preparing for the session

No rulebooks/lorebooks or software purchases are required before booking. • Message me/book and figure out where you want to roleplay (I have Discord, forum, Root, and other options. I'm open to different places to communicate and roleplay because I know Discord is not everyone's thing). • Send me your initial character or campaign idea. A few sentences are enough. • Tell me which era/houses/locations/canon characters interest you. • Let me know how closely you want the campaign to follow established lore. • We will do a session 0 where you will also complete our Lines and Veils discussion and I'll show you how to use the Safety tools. • Discuss whether you want optional adult romance and/or intimacy and, if so, the appropriate level of detail. You can join without prior experience with A Song of Ice and Fire RPG. You also do not need extensive knowledge of the books or television series. We will establish everything necessary for your particular story before the opening post.

What Dreams & Eni brings to the table

I will provide an ongoing campaign tailored to your protagonist rather than a prewritten adventure that treats them as interchangeable. Their choices will shape the direction of play. NPC characters will respond dynamically to what you do. Depending on the chosen era, figures such as Daemon Targaryen, Rhaenyra Targaryen, Alicent Hightower, Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Jon Snow or others may become allies, rivals, enemies, mentors, romantic interests. They will participate in the story and you will get to interact with them. You can expect: • Detailed, character-focused prose. • At least one substantial GM post daily, often more. • Responsive NPCs with their own motives and relationships. • Political and personal consequences for meaningful choices. • Cinematic conflict/combat with opportunities for written tactics. • Help developing your character. • Instructions in Burning Wheel and ASoIaF RPG (they are interesting systems!) • A campaign that can evolve beyond canon events. • Optional lightweight mechanics when they improve the story. I am not presenting this as a lore-master-led recreation in which every minor fact will automatically match the source material. Instead we will agree on what you want. Players with strong setting knowledge are welcome to identify the canon details they especially want respected. I am somewhat new to the lore, but I am able to look things up and read things. Each listing opening normally represent my capacity to run another independent duet. Players booking different openings will not automatically be placed together. If you and other players specifically want a group campaign please contact me so we can discuss that format separately.

How Dreams & Eni creates a safe table

Before play, we will establish Lines and Veils covering any sensitive subjects relevant to the chosen premise. • A Line is content that will not appear. • A Veil permits a subject to exist while keeping it off-screen or undescribed. Either participant can add or strengthen a boundary as the campaign develops. Digital X, N, and O signals remain available throughout play: • X: Stop, remove, or revise the content. • N: The scene is approaching a boundary; redirect it. • O: The current content is welcome and may continue. • Additionally there are Speed Up, Slow Down, and Pause cards. Because this is asynchronous, a post can be paused, revised, retconned, or removed before play continues. This is an 18+ campaign. Westeros is a mature and gritty world. All characters involved in romantic or intimate content must be consenting adults. Adult romance and spicy roleplay are optional and the permitted level of detail will be agreed in advance. Consent to one scene or relationship never implies consent to another. Sexual violence and sexual content involving minors are excluded ENTIRELY, regardless of their presence in the source material. Boundaries take precedence over canon accuracy.
