Why had Momma always said "Best not to go out in the darkness"? Why did she insist I carry this small bag of her "powerful" herbs? Why did we make sure to never EVER give our names to strangers? Because there is power in a name, Family. The kind of power that is hard to explain until you get a a taste of it. A healthy FEAR of it! Story Hook: Way down deep in the heart of the Holler... where them woods whisper ancient tales and their shadows clasp the unknown. Here a quiet terror grips the very souls of the ones who dare venture towards them strange travelers meandering down worn paths, that lead into the only into the night. On the ridges and hilltops of the Appalachians, where kinship runs thicker than blood and nature keeps her secrets close... Here rests Cider Springs, a right tiny community, hidden from most eyes. This here is your home, or as close to home as you reckon it to be. It was autumn here, that time when the chill in the air spoke of winter's impending arrival. An eerie feeling draped over them Dog Trot shacks and dirt roads same as the smoke from the stoves. Folks spoke in hushed tones 'bout them strange happenings that had started to unfold 'round Cider Springs... A malevolent darkness blanketed this place... as a sinister chill settled in, sparking suspicions 'bout the chances of a smooth transition into winter. -(Your story will start somewhere west of Baker's Gap, in the community of Cider Springs, TN, late in the year of our Lord 1917) -(Campaign will start when we have 3-4 players...if 2 players agree we will run side stories until actual campaign kicks off)

Needed: -Discord -Mic (quiet area) -Foundry VTT Character Sheets and rolls will be made on Foundry VTT Discord for audio story and text communication

I have learned over the years that it is the players story and I am just here to facilitate that experience and make it run smooth and be as entertaining as possible. Players should expect at the very least one or two 5-10 minute bio-breaks during the session. Maps, reference materials, notes, photos etc. will be posted on Foundry VTT I will organize it all so everyone enjoys the experience, and take pride in doing so..

***Standard statement for all my games*** This will be an open door game, if you need to take a break, for any reason, please do so!! All I ask, is if you can, please mute your mic so I know you are out. -Any use of "out of character" Racism, Sexism, or Discrimination or Personal Attacks of any kind will get you banned. -Players who do these things repeatedly "in character" are discouraged/warned/and subject to being (quickly) kicked or banned. -If you do not follow the “Fade to Black” rule you will be kicked or banned. **Fade to Black Rule** During the game, if there is ever an event, situation, or anything that as a player makes you feel Please say “Fade to Black” (same as N card although sometimes I don't see the chat right away)and that scene will end. I will not ask, I will not judge, I will take control and respect this choice. No story is worth paining someone!
