About the adventure

The mists of Barovia don’t care where you came from or what you were doing before they found you. Once they close in, there’s only one way out: through Strahd von Zarovich. You’ll enter Barovia at level 3, trapped in a land of monsters, curses, desperate people, and one ancient vampire who already knows you’re here. Survive long enough, gather the allies and weapons you need, and maybe you can finally put Strahd in the ground. And if you think killing Strahd is where the story ends… it isn’t. This campaign begins with Curse of Strahd, a dark gothic adventure through the nightmare realm of Barovia. Starting at level 3, you’ll explore haunted villages, ruined castles, forgotten temples, and some genuinely awful places while trying to survive Strahd’s attention and figure out how the hell you’re supposed to kill him. The campaign is heavy on exploration, roleplay, difficult choices, horror, and dangerous combat, with plenty of room for your characters and their relationships to become part of the story. At level 10, defeating Strahd is only the beginning. The campaign transitions directly into Vecna: Eve of Ruin, expanding from the claustrophobic horrors of Barovia into a much larger adventure across the D&D multiverse. What starts as a desperate attempt to escape one vampire’s domain eventually becomes a fight over the fate of reality itself. Levels 3–20

About me

https://the-chronicles-of-khalindor.fandom.com/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Khalindor_Wiki Here at Nym's Adventures, we believe in a player-oriented approach to pay-to-play tabletop gaming. We're here to bring your stories to the forefront of the adventures published by Wizards of the Coast. We use the modules as a backbone to craft customized sessions for your characters. I began running online games in Summer 2019 after playing with several game masters who didn't seem to care what the players were trying to say with their characters or with their choices. I decided to give the community the kind of attention and enthusiasm I wanted to see in a game master. I've been trying to embody that ideal ever since.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will make a party that already knows one another during Session 00. Come with ideas but be very ready to change things around to suit the best party personality and composition.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need accounts on Discord (communication), Roll20 (tabletop), DnD Beyond (character sheets) and the Beyond20 browser plugin (to connect Roll20 and Beyond).

What Nym's Adventures brings to the table

I do voices, combat music, macros, API, and more. All the bells and whistles except a real sword. We'll be a fairly well-rounded table using Rules as Intended above all else. You don't have to do a voice or know your character's favorite cousin, but you should know your sheet and enough about your character to set them apart from the others in the group.

Homebrew rules

Everyone gets a Heroic Inspiration at the beginning of every session. This is in addition to any HI's a character gets from the game itself. A PC who has made a death saving throw receives one level of exhaustion. Only one level of exhaustion may be applied per drop.

How Nym's Adventures creates a safe table

We'll discuss boundaries at the table, but we have all the universal ones: No relationships, sexal content, sex, nudity, or anything approaching this at the table. No hate speech against any group of people. Hate will not be tolerated.
