About the adventure
Set in Tolkien's Middle Earth, the party must embark on quests set forth by their patron, the powerful wizard Saruman. As Sauron's influence spreads, Saruman grows desperate, and his leadership decisions become increasingly drenched in shadow. All is not lost, however. Saruman can be saved. Through heroic and noble actions, the party can hold sway over their patron, slowing his descent into evil or halting it entirely. Adversely, the party can hasten his downfall through consistent acts of misjudgment and cruelty. The "right" choices for Saruman cannot be so easily guessed by the players, for the morals of the world are not black and white. Noble decisions might have dire consequences in the long run, and failing at a task could prevent an even worse circumstance from manifesting in the future. As you may have noticed, this campaign has the potential to be non-canonical if the players are able to prevent Saruman's corruption. Players should not feel held back by canon events, but instead boldly forge their own path to greatness (or infamy)!

About me
Hello! My name is Julia, and I've been a Game Master since 2022. My favorite genre of TTRPGs to play are generally Sci-Fi, strategy, and survival, although I can have fun playing almost anything! Along with running home games with friends, I frequently volunteer to GM at my local game store, so I have experience adjusting to groups or individuals with different dynamics and expectations. *FYI* I am very flexible with game days/times, so if one of my posted games does not fit with your group's schedule, please message me!

Creating your character
We will create our fellowship during a free Session 0. All characters will be created through Foundry using the options in the Core Rulebook. Physical character sheets are also acceptable!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A link to my Discord server will be sent after you sign up to the campaign. All further communication will be through there, so make sure you have an account.
What Julia brings to the table
I focus on roleplay and rule of cool in my games. My goal is to create a memorable story together! I always set the tone with music and visuals. I don't like when games are slowed down by rule discussions, so I will often adjust a rule in the moment to fit the story or pacing of the session. The narrative comes first.

How Julia creates a safe table
After joining the Discord, I'll send you a Lines and Veils document to fill out so we can steer clear of potentially triggering topics. Players are also able to leave the session at any time with no explanation needed.
