About the adventure
This game is focused on "Sword and Sorcery" vibes - the DCC ethos, while it can be heroic, frequently focuses on the dangerous and risky adventures that the party chooses to undertake in the pursuit of wealth, knowledge or the unknown. In this game, we will start with a funnel adventure where everyone plays a group of Level "zero" adventurers, just peasants and folks in the wrong place at the wrong time - but those who survive will become adventurers. From there, we will follow hooks and rumors for adventure featuring some of the most notable Dungeon Crawl Classics adventure modules while building out the world connections together. If you're new to DCC and want to see what it's all about, this is the tour guides peak picks.

Creating your character
Each player will roll a randomized set of level 0 characters to start our funnel adventure with, and choose one of the survivors to play as their first level 1 adventurer following. We will work together to determine the best path if your funnel characters don't make it or you really would prefer to play a different class. Level 0 characters can be generated here, or by hand. https://purplesorcerer.com/create_party.php
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be playing using Roll20 as our VTT, if you do not have an account there player accounts can be created for free and you can do that here https://roll20.net/welcome Audio and Video will be managed over discord, I have a community server I will share an invite to once you join the game.
What Chris Stagno brings to the table
I provide countless hours of system mastery and expertise in the art of "the DCC" - I am part of the Goodman Games Demo Crew and frequently run organized play sessions at conventions such as Gary Con, Gamehole Con and more. I love to do characterization and voices to get into the feel of the game, but am ok with whatever level people prefer there.
Homebrew rules
This doc I have curated shares a little of how Dungeon Crawl Classics differs from trad gameplay, as well as some house rules that I have that I find makes everything run a bit smoother. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MHpYj5xYnSteeRCqsG_MFHgq_Q021u5pCnxoYlva5zU/edit?tab=t.0
