About the adventure

It starts with a simple job. A local arcane workshop has a minor pest problem. Strange, chaotic elemental entities wrecking delicate equipment in the basement. Standard adventurer work. Easy gold. Right? What the workshop owner hasn't told you is once a planar door opens, it may never quite close. Nor have you learned why the door is truly open. Solving this little local problem catches the eye of a rather eccentric patron with a specialty in the seemingly impossible. Soon, your ragtag crew is offered a contract far beyond clearing out cellars. A daring heist targeting a powerful Duke of the Nine Hells to retrieve a legendary, lost blade for reasons you've yet to learn, unless, of course, you choose to get it back another way.

About me

I started with tabletop games about seven years ago in LA living with a bunch of other goth nerds all playing dnd and one shots in the tavern of the mansion we all rented (there were fifteen of us lol). I'm a published author and poet, a certified comic artist, I've done script writing work for indie films - telling stories is very much a part of who I am. Doing it collaboratively is absolutely divine! My first game as a player was a cthulu themed one shot, my first campaign as a gm was for a fallout ttrpg, although I am very much a dnd person - I was helping my best friend work out some lore and got so invested we ran the game together. I'm also a certified comic artist and worked in character creation and worldbuilding for a comic studio, so I've definitely got a background in making places and people feel alive on top of acting experience. A lot of shenanigans occurred over the years of my life and I'm so grateful those shenanigans brought me here. Building a story together with people, getting to know the characters, watching them grow, build off their backstories. It's so much fun!

Character creation

Creating your character

We can work on your character over discord before the game, stats are point buy, starting level is currently 3, and most books are welcome! I can't think of any off the top of my head that aren't. I'm happy to help you create your character if you'd like some assistance or if you have an idea you'd like to run by me. I'm open to most character ideas so long as they make sense within the setting or we can find a way to adjust their backstory to make them make sense.

The current party

The party comp right now is draconic sorcerer, war cleric, swashbuckler rogue, and lore bard!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will receive a discord link and you will need an account on Sqyre to log in to the server I use for foundry! Easy peasy! Sqyre does not require personal info.

What Prince/Eleanor brings to the table

I absolutely do voices, keep up ambient music, work to make foundry as immersive and user friendly as possible for my players (and myself!), I love incorporating backstories into the narrative and I will memorize yours. If there's a way to work something from it in, I will find it. I'm happy to work with you on anything you may specifically want to come up with your character! I'm a big fan of the rule of cool. If you can make it make sense, it shall be considered. This is a creative game, I love seeing players take advantage of this!

Homebrew rules

Flanking gives advantage and all casters can use spell scrolls! For the help action, if you're not proficient in that particular skill and can convince me any of your other skill proficiencies can assist the other player somehow in that particular situation, I'll allow it.

Safety

How Prince/Eleanor creates a safe table

We go over lines and veils in session 0 or in a private conversation over discord if you hop in after one of the first sessions. You can dm me at any point to let me know if anything changes or something is making you uncomfortable. We're here to have fun, the last thing I want is a person at my table suffering in silence!
