About the adventure

Dragon's Grasp is a custom D&D 5e experience built around one promise: total freedom to create the character fantasy you actually want to play. There are no fixed classes. Instead, you discover and combine abilities, features, and spells through play, gradually creating a unique build that belongs to your character alone. Bring a concept, not a build guide. The classless system is designed to teach itself at the table. Complete beginners are encouraged, and experienced players can experiment far beyond ordinary multiclass limits. Your background and homeland provide meaningful advantages, while optional profession, survival, sanity, and lasting-injury systems let each group choose its preferred level of depth. No campaign plot is revealed in this listing—the story begins when the group enters the world. Sessions combine character-driven roleplay, tactical combat, exploration, meaningful decisions, and room for creative solutions. The exact balance and tone are shaped with the players. Sessions run weekly for 4–5 hours in Foundry VTT on a cinematic 3D canvas with handcrafted maps, tokens, environments, ambient audio, and three custom character models per player at no extra cost. I'm Val, a professional Game Master and game developer with more than six years running paid weekly campaigns. Several of my groups have played together for six years. New players receive full onboarding, while veterans get a system with enough freedom to make familiar D&D feel new again. Your character has no class—and for once, that's a compliment.

About me

I’m Val, a professional Game Master and game developer from Spain. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for 15 years and paid weekly campaigns for more than six. Some of my groups have stayed together for six years—long enough for campaigns to become friendships. My signature game is Dragon’s Grasp: a custom D&D 5e world played in cinematic 3D on Foundry VTT. Instead of choosing a fixed class, you discover abilities, features, and spells through play, then combine them into the fantasy you actually want. Your homeland shapes your background and advantages, while the world responds to your choices. Expect original stories, custom systems, handcrafted 3D maps and tokens, dynamic roleplay, tactical combat, exploration, and a welcoming table for beginners and veterans alike. I provide three custom character models at no extra cost. Sessions are run in English and normally last 4–5 hours. Your character has no class—and for once, that’s a compliment. Character creation

Creating your character

Before Session 1, we build your character concept together through a guided Foundry VTT interface inspired by modern RPGs. You do not choose a standard D&D class or arrive with a completed build. We begin with identity, homeland, goals, visual style, and a small set of starting choices; the classless system then expands naturally through play. I provide three custom character models at no extra cost and guide beginners through every step.

Joining is not automatic. Before requesting a seat, please add me on Discord: val1996. I personally review every player request so we can confirm availability, expectations, and group fit.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You need a computer capable of running Foundry VTT in a modern browser, stable internet, a working microphone, and a free Discord account. No Foundry purchase or previous D&D experience is required. Before your first session, join the Discord, test your microphone and browser, and send me any accessibility needs, hard limits, or character ideas you would like me to prepare for.

What Val brings to the table

I provide the Foundry VTT server, cinematic 3D environments, original game material, handcrafted maps and tokens, ambient audio, rules onboarding, and three custom character models at no extra cost. My style balances prepared 3D set pieces with flexible improvisation, giving players genuine freedom in how they build characters, approach challenges, and shape their experience.

Homebrew rules

Dragon’s Grasp uses a custom classless progression system built on D&D 5e. Characters learn abilities, features, and spells from the world instead of following fixed class levels. The system is introduced gradually and is beginner-friendly. Optional profession, survival, sanity, and lasting-injury modules are used only when the group wants them. I explain any ruling clearly, favor consistent consequences, and use the Rule of Cool when it improves the story without erasing meaningful choices.

Safety

How Val creates a safe table

We begin with a Session 0 covering tone, expectations, accessibility, Lines and Veils, and group boundaries. X, N, and O signals may be sent privately or used at the table; the Open Door policy is always active, and anyone may request a break without explanation. I check in after intense scenes, debrief at session end, and adjust content whenever a player raises a concern.
