About the adventure

The last war is over. The Holy Order of the One won—and its victory gave it lawful authority to claim every newly branded adventurer. The Order does not intend to execute you. It intends to keep gifted people alive by forcing them through its adventurer academy. It is disciplined, powerful, and—according to its own law—doing you a favor. Consent is not part of the curriculum. You entered the city as strangers. Then the same magical brand ignited on each of you at the same moment. Bells begin to ring, the gates start to close, and officers of the Holy Order spread through the streets to collect their newest recruits. None of you knows the others or understands why you were marked together. You share only one immediate goal: do not report for compulsory enrollment. Escape the city before the cordon closes. Hide, bargain, misdirect, climb, fight, or trust three complete strangers with your freedom. Along the way, you may learn why the brands appeared—and whether the Order's promise to protect you is merely propaganda or an uncomfortable truth. This is a self-contained introduction to Dragon's Grasp, my original D&D 5e world and classless character system. You discover features, spells, and talents through play rather than choosing a fixed class. The system is taught at the table, so complete beginners are welcome. Expect 4–5 hours of tense pursuit, character-driven roleplay, tactical encounters, exploration, and difficult choices on Foundry VTT's cinematic 3D canvas. The One has a plan for you. Shame you already made other plans. Four seats only.

About me

I’m Val, a professional Game Master and game developer from Spain. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for 15 years and paid weekly campaigns for more than six. Some of my groups have stayed together for six years—long enough for campaigns to become friendships. My signature game is Dragon’s Grasp: a custom D&D 5e world played in cinematic 3D on Foundry VTT. Instead of choosing a fixed class, you discover abilities, features, and spells through play, then combine them into the fantasy you actually want. Your homeland shapes your background and advantages, while the world responds to your choices. Expect original stories, custom systems, handcrafted 3D maps and tokens, dynamic roleplay, tactical combat, exploration, and a welcoming table for beginners and veterans alike. I provide three custom character models at no extra cost. Sessions are run in English and normally last 4–5 hours. Your character has no class—and for once, that’s a compliment. Character creation

Creating your character

I will provide four adaptable classless character foundations so we can begin on time. Each character has arrived in the city for a different personal reason, and none knows the others. Before the session, choose your homeland, personality, goal, appearance, attitude toward the Holy Order of the One, and the reason your character refuses compulsory academy training. You do not choose a standard D&D class or need a completed D&D Beyond sheet. When the brand awakens during the opening pursuit, the guided Foundry interface will help you select and understand your first classless abilities. Complete beginners will be walked through every choice.

The current party

Joining is not automatic. Before requesting a seat, add me on Discord: val1996. I personally review every player request. Four strangers are branded at once in a city locking down around them; the chase forces them together as the Holy Order arrives to collect its compulsory recruits.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Bring a computer capable of running Foundry VTT in a modern browser, stable internet, a working microphone, and a free Discord account. No Foundry purchase or download is required. After booking, add me on Discord as val1996, test your microphone, and send any accessibility needs, hard limits, or character preferences.

What Val brings to the table

I provide the private Foundry server, a cinematic 3D city built for a fast-moving escape, original encounters, handcrafted maps and tokens, ambient audio, guided character options, and complete rules onboarding. The city responds to your approach: deception, stealth, rooftop movement, negotiation, improvised plans, and combat can all create a route out. I will keep the spotlight moving so every one of the four strangers matters.

Homebrew rules

This one-shot uses Dragon’s Grasp’s classless progression system built on D&D 5e. Characters gain and combine abilities through memories, discoveries, and choices instead of following fixed classes. The rules are introduced gradually. I use consistent consequences and the Rule of Cool when it improves the scene without erasing meaningful decisions.

Safety

How Val creates a safe table

Before play we will confirm Lines and Veils, tone, accessibility needs, and table boundaries. X, N, and O signals may be sent privately or used at the table; the Open Door policy is always active, and anyone may request a break without explanation. I check in after intense scenes and close with a short debrief.
