About the adventure
These lands are full of strife and unrest. Bandits have taken a hold over a greater part of the region. Citizens of every walk are worried about their prospects. Governors, chieftains, leaders of all sorts are in gridlock, vying for power and rule. Then there's you and your group, looking to just get in on a piece of the action. Kingmaker is Paizo's beloved adventure path from 1st edition, turned into a video game, and even remastered for Pathfinder 2nd edition. Your characters will explore through wild lands, face disturbing monstrosities, and tangle with political intrigue of varying sources. This is an extremely non-linear adventure, which is full of combat, puzzles, and roleplay potential. Do you have the mettle to keep the crown?

About me
Born and raised in the Bay Area. Ever since he was a kid (still is at heart) he has enjoyed imaginative worlds and any medium that offers a sense of escapism. From his first years of development, playing on his father's Nintendo Entertainment System, to reading books in his adolescence about wonderful wizarding worlds, to exploring the fantastic tabletop gaming scene, Jarvin has endeavored to engage in multiple genres and different avenues for creating fun and engaging experiences. Creating your character
For folks who need it, I will walk you through character creation. You will need access to a web browser for this (if you don't, how are you reading this?!) We will openly discuss ideas during session 0. First drafts of character creation will be facilitated using the Wanderer's Guide website. As for specific books, it is of course helpful to have your own Pathfinder 2e rulebook, but it is not necessary.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Microphones are absolutely necessary. Please have a decent microphone. We will be facilitating voice chat through discord. Please have access to a discord account and the application. Webcams are a nice to have, but not necessary. In our virtual worlds, it can be hard to really determine what feelings people are trying to emulate with just their voice alone. I believe facial expressions really nail it down. I will have my webcam on to help drive down the role from the GM's seat.
What Jarvin brings to the table
We will be using Foundry VTT, as well as Paizo's Kingmaker 2nd edition module. The module itself will have plenty of art directly from Paizo, as well as ambient music and curated tokens to use for the monsters. I as the GM will breathe more life into them by roleplaying it out, and challenging players to tactical combat if that's something they wish to tangle with! I'll also be catering towards those who are either completely new to TTRPGs in general, or those who may not have tangled with Pathfinder specifically. This also leads into possible Pathfinder Society sessions!

Safety
How Jarvin creates a safe table
During session 0, I have a checklist of things to go over. I have implemented a safety module in Foundry which will allow players to be able to enact the X card as well as other Safety tools as need be. We will be able to discuss topics in the open, as well as me having the availability to listen to players in a more private setting.
