About the adventure
It is the 42nd Millennium. For ten thousand years, the Imperium of Man has clung to the galaxy like a corpse that refuses to rot. Humanity, once destined to inherit the stars, has been shackled beneath the weight of a dead god, ruled by cowards, fanatics, and tyrants who preach obedience as virtue and ignorance as salvation. Countless generations have lived and died beneath the Aquila, their blood spent to preserve an empire that has long since forgotten why it exists. Now, at last, the old order is breaking. The Great Rift has torn the galaxy asunder, a vast and glorious wound carved across reality itself. The veil between the material universe and the Immaterium has grown thin, and through it pours the power that the Imperium has spent millennia denying. Daemons walk beneath alien suns, prophets speak with the voices of gods, and worlds long bound beneath Imperial law rise in rebellion. Across the stars, champions like you gather. The Traitor Legions march once more beneath banners that have not been seen since the days of the Great Heresy. Renegade Space Marines carve kingdoms from dying worlds. Heretek magi tear forbidden knowledge from the machinery of the ancients. Witches and prophets cast aside the chains placed upon them by fearful men. Mortal armies raise icons to the true gods, mutants, cultists, and damned souls flock to the standards of warlords who promise them something the Imperium never could: freedom. Freedom to conquer, freedom to hate, freedom to change, freedom to indulge every desire and pursue every ambition, no matter the cost. The Imperium has not surrendered without struggle. Roboute Guilliman, son of the False Emperor, has returned from a forgotten age and gathered the servants of Terra beneath his banner. His fleets burn worlds in the name of order, his armies march beneath the symbols of an empire already dead, and new breeds of Space Marines are thrown into endless wars in the desperate hope that stronger chains might hold humanity together. For a time, they may succeed, but the galaxy has changed. The old certainties are gone. The Astronomican flickers across a divided Imperium. Governors become kings, priests become prophets, soldiers become warlords, and men and women who once whispered their hatred in secret now raise their voices openly against their masters. To live in such an age is to stand upon the threshold of damnation and greatness. A single warrior may rise from nothing and become a conqueror of worlds. A slave may become a champion. A heretic may become a prophet. A mortal may carve their name into history with blood and fire. These are the tales of those who looked upon the Imperium of Man and saw not something worth saving, but something worth destroying. There is no peace amongst the stars, no forgiveness for weakness, and no destiny but the one seized by force. In the grim darkness of the 42nd Millennium, the galaxy belongs to those strong enough to take it.

About me
I have been a gamer for most of my life, being a second generation TTRPG player who learned how to make a character while I was in elementary school for 3e D&D. I love Tabletop roleplaying games, and I'd love to make them my livelihood if possible.

Creating your character
Oh all of this will happen during Session 0 or beforehand. We'll all sit down and discuss character concepts, and I'll work with everyone in creating a character in setting. 90% of character concepts that work for Black Crusade normally will work. I have additional homebrew for human traitor knight pilots (They do not start with their walkers, obviously) and the only type of Traitor Astartes not allowed is the Alpha Legion Elite Career.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Realistically, once you're approved I'll invite you to a discord, and we'll start talking right away! Got lots to talk about and work out. But also, take a look at the books themselves, make sure you have some idea of what you might want to play in setting!
What Raistlin Drake brings to the table
I like to use ambient music, use a lot of rule of cool when its needed, and while I'm not great at voices, I like to really dive into character history, backstory and personal plot. We will also often dive into things like romance, intrigue, background politics, and the darker aspects of the settings, but always keeping things firmly in the comfort zone of my players.
Homebrew rules
Oh man. So I have a whole document, but the biggest ones really are as follows. Autofire, Burst Fire, Lighting Attack and Swift attack have all been adjusted and changed. Defensive tests are now different. When an enemy makes an attack against you and you choose to defend, you take a -5 for every degree past the first to your d100 roll. However, you can take multiple defensive reactions in the same turn and round, but each time after the first takes an additional -5. Honestly, the whole document we use. Also, everything is at Aligned costs, and your XP costs no longer push you into an alignment or a mark. Additionally, I piece by piece allow Tier 3 Talents as characters advance, usually at specific milestones. Finally, new mutations tables and the like.

How Raistlin Drake creates a safe table
At the end of pretty much every session, I want to make sure to sit in with my players, make sure everyone had fun, find their positives and even their negatives on the session, and such if my players are interested. I also will make sure to regularly check in on ya'll because 40k is a SUPER dark setting and we'll cover some dark topics. But I always want to make sure everyone has fun first and foremost.
