About the adventure
Have you ever dreamed of being a superhero? Altero City has a rich history of superheroics, and it's time for the next generation of supers to make a name for themselves. But if being a hero isn't easy, being a teen hero is downright difficult. Get ready for teen hijinks, dangerous foes, superpowered action, and more as we learn together what it means to be heroes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MASKS: A New Generation is a PBTA game about teen superheroes navigating their way into adulthood. The mechanics are light and emphasize dramatic narrative play, and the system is built around collective and meaningful storytelling.

About me
I'm a GM with 15 years of Gaming experience and some previous voice work, who specializes in running narrative games with high-drama moments and strong character development. I have a broad array of experience ranging from D&D 3.5 and 5e, through to MASKS: A New Generation and Urban Shadows, but I am at my best with games in the Powered By The Apocalypse family. My #1 goal is to create a safe space for play for all to ensure that all players walk away from the game with new stories and new experiences tailored around themes and ideas they want to explore with their characters.

Creating your character
Character creation happens as a collaborative effort. One portion of Session Zero is devoted to safety/expectations/themes/content, the other to team character generation. MASKS' system for character creation allows for players to build all manner of unique superheroes that play off of established tropes in cartoons/comics, and there are very few stats you need to worry about.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Cameras are optional in my games, but microphones are essential! This game is played Theatre-of-the-mind style, so very little is needed outside of access to Discord, a microphone, and access to Google Sheets (where character sheets are hosted). I provide the game rules, a dicebot, and a Character Sheet (shared document online). Players should look at the available playbooks (equivalent of classes) and pick which sort of drama suits them best, as each playbook is infused with certain tropes and dramatic themes that accompany them. Powers as suggested on these playbooks are open to change subject to DM approval!
What Devin brings to the table
I provide access to the ruleset for the game including expansions, as well as storytelling tailored strongly to the character you wish to play and provided by a GM with voiceover experience. Additionally, each game (styled as an issue of a comic book) comes complete with a cover and a fun Letters to the Editor page linked to the campaign!

How Devin creates a safe table
My goal is to create a virtual tablle that is a safe space for everyone sitting down to play. Players will take part in a Sessions Zero before the campaign begins, and there will be an anonymous consent checklist circulated prior to meeting. Expect this game to lean G or PG13-rating, similar to an MCU film. Lines and Veils will also be established early on and respected throughout, and I encourage players to reach out to me as needed both during and before/after game. Whether you're new to MASKS or looking for a regular game, I invite you to give Altero City Sentinels a try!
