About the adventure
On the outer edges of charted space lies Prospero's Dream, a space station filled with strange inhabitants, sinister corporate entities, organized crime, and secret conspiracies. It's also where YOU currently reside, seeking opportunities to make a name (and some money) for yourself and your crewmates. But achieving your dreams is easier said than done, and there will be more than a few obstacles (and monsters) along the path to success. This is a campaign intended for for players of all experience levels, including beginners. We will work together to craft the world and players will have agency to choose which potential storylines to follow and which to ignore. I will use a combination of published and homebrew content to adapt to players' choices. Be warned! MOTHERSHIP is a game of survival horror, and it's very possible you will die, in which case we'll roll up another character on the Dream for you to play. New to the game or RPGs in general? Don't worry! Rather than requiring a lot of dice rolling and calculations, MOTHERSHIP prioritizes narrative and roleplaying to create a more immersive experience. I will teach you everything you need to know to (hopefully) survive dead encounters in the vast regions of space!

About me
For nearly a decade, I've been running high-quality games for both kids and adults. I run an after-school gaming club for teenagers, so I'm used to introducing games to new players. I'm always open to trying new systems, and my preference is to let players and story drive sessions. Creating your character
Character creation is very straightforward and will be done using the Mothership Companion App.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need Discord and the Mothership Companion App. You can either create your character in advance or wait until our Session 0 or onboarding meeting. After you register and before your first session, I will reach out individually to schedule a one-on-one onboarding meeting about the campaign, your character, when you're looking for in the game, etc. This will better ensure the game is a good fit for you and that our respective styles -- as a GM and a player -- mesh well before you spend time and money on a game.
What GM Andrew brings to the table
I provide players with everything they need to play the game and do well, including, but not limited to: --a one-on-one onboarding meeting --a copy of the basic rules --a Discord server for voice chat --maps of key locations --voices of NPCs (whether or not they're "good" may be a matter of perspective...) --handouts, clues, and other supplements --a list of table conventions and expectations, many of which can be adapted to suit the needs of the group --easy-to-use safety tools --post-session recaps

How GM Andrew creates a safe table
My table is open to everyone regardless of race, sex, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, etc. If you don't want to play with people who are different from you, this is not the table for you! Mothership is a game of sci-fi horror that may contain violence, blood, body horror, and other content that some players may find disturbing. Players will submit a short survey indicating any content that they feel should be "off-limits", and we will discuss content restrictions and safety tools during Session 0 and/or onboarding meeting. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you may let me know and we'll work together to figure out how best to proceed. After the session, there will be an opportunity to debrief and provide feedback on any aspects of the game, including safety and comfort, that can be improved in future sessions.
