About the adventure
The setting: Andaluria is a land of sweeping vineyards where beauty and dread intertwine. By day, the streets and valleys are alive with festivals, music, and the scent of wine. But, when the sun sets, monsters come out of hiding. For generations, the old superstitions and folk rites kept the beasts at bay, but as of late the nights have grown unnaturally long, and the citizens of Andaluria live in fear of increasingly terrifying monsters. That's where your party comes in. In this Dark Heart of Andaluria campaign, you’ll play monster hunters who must investigate horrific crimes, navigate political strife, and slay supernatural creatures to protect the people from the looming threat of eternal darkness. No experience required, but it is recommended.

About me
Looking for a GM to take your game to the next level? Look no further. My name is Joey. I've been playing TTRPGs for over 27 years and a DM for friends and family over a variety of fantasy settings and games since 2003. I'm an avid fan of D&D literature and have read many amazing works from R.A. Salvatore, Ed Greenwood, and many others that serve as fuel for my encounters, blueprints for combat sequences, and inspiration for my plot points. Whether you're a fan of smashing things with a hammer until gold comes out of their ears or solving intricate puzzles/investigating mysteries, I'm here to deliver a thought provoking experience that is best accomplished with teamwork and the Rule of Cool. I'm an IT and Cybersecurity Major, and also have quite a deal of experience with Audio/Visual work. I enjoy curating beautifully crafted digital maps, evocative background music and ambiences, and leveraging Artificial Intelligence to fill in gaps (my artistic ability 🙃) and bring my stories to life. I've been playing Daggerheart for my in-person group and I'm loving the collaborative storytelling approach. It is now my preferred system to run games on!

Creating your character
Our first session will be a Session 0 (About 45 minutes) and go straight into session 1. Players will begin at level 2 and characters will be created either in Alchemy or within Demiplane. This campaign will be following the frame from Daggerheart's new expansion Hope & Fear. You can refer to that book, or the Void in Demiplane for new content, including the Blood Hunter and the Summoner class!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will coordinate out of game via Discord. You can download Alchemy VTT or run it in your browser with a free account. In-game visuals, sound, and chat will be there. All content is available to share to a free Demiplane account as well.
What AVALANCHE brings to the table
I will provide an immersive VTTRPG with Alchemy (including Kinemancer overlays, and immersive sound, ambience, and music) experience complete with intricate plot that changes based on your decisions (I highly encourage simple backstories), beautifully curated maps, custom character art tokens, organized play, challenging encounters, and lastly, immersive winning audio streaming ambience and music.
Homebrew rules
Splitting Hope 2:1 for Tag-Team moves. Instant Scars for death moves for players choosing to fight another day that are recoverable through plot elements. Custom Death Moves for each character class.

How AVALANCHE creates a safe table
The content warnings primarily reflect the consequences of a world where death is no longer possible. These themes are rarely, if ever, portrayed in a glorified way. If any of the listed content warnings raise concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Many of these elements can be handled vaguely or omitted entirely, depending on your comfort level. If a particular warning is critical to the story and cannot be removed, I will be transparent about it. Should that cause discomfort or make you feel unsafe, we can explore options to accommodate your needs. XNO Messaging or Held Up On Video. Lines and Veils doc discussed at Session 0
