About the adventure
For as long as history has been recorded, the Phoenix has been a symbol of hope, renewal, and the unending cycle of life. Legends tell that whenever the great bird reached the end of its life, it would burst into brilliant flame, leaving behind only ashes. From those ashes, a new phoenix would rise, carrying with it the world's magic into another age. Every rebirth renewed the invisible threads of magic woven throughout the land, allowing forests to bloom, dragons to soar, wizards to cast spells, and the gods to answer prayers. But this time, something has gone terribly wrong. When the Phoenix died, the flames burned bright—but no hatchling emerged from the ashes. Days passed. Then weeks. The ashes grew cold.

About me
hi my name is Asher Shumate, ftm transgender that runs inclusive, lgbtq+ supportive games. I've been DMing for 1 year and have been playing basically my whole life. I've always loved making stories to share with the world. my current party recently told me that i should do this full time and not just once a week so here i am!! i like to make any game I'm GMing a fun supportive place. if you join one of my games you wont just be interacting with just your party but a community on discord were i run my games. you would only be paying for your sessions but you will also have in-between sessions times for free to talk and hangout with everyone on the server in different channels. and even if you drop out of a campaign you wouldn't be kicked from the server you can still hangout and make great friends with everyone on there until your ready for your next adventure!!

Creating your character
on dndbeyond click make character and start to make your character. if you dont have any books you can stop at making your character and then click the link i will provide it will send you too joining the campaign once you are in it will give you access to all of the 5e player handbook material(i am working on getting the 5.5e player handbook as well) then you can go back to making your character with more items. character building - milestone - unencumbered - no homebrew unless we discuss it and i approved it - point buy stats - 5e - 5.5e - fixed HP - up to 2 classes for multi classing - start lv 4
What to expect
Preparing for the session
you will need a discord account made and a dndbeyond account made. i will provide you with a discord server link there we will be using the stage vc for sessions and on that server i will give you a dndbeyond campaign link there we will have our maps and out characters.
What Asher brings to the table
i will provide ambient music. i embrace the rule of cool but i would like it if you don't try to talk me out of my ruling. i try to do character voices but im not the best at masc voices.
Homebrew rules
drinking potions is a bonus action. you can combined magic items if you come across a spell binder (it will take until the next session to be complete) up till 4 times.

How Asher creates a safe table
i will message everyone privately asking about there lines and vails. in session 0 i will go over everyone's character making sure they are build properly. X, N & O's are messaged to me or me to the player. after intense session we will do aftercare by as a group or if someone wants to do it solo with me talking about how the session went and how we would like to move forward if things didn't go well or they want something to happen to their character next session.
