About the adventure

"A magnificent purple dragon has plummeted into the ruins of Blights End, her memory-song shattering into six lost echoes across the chaotic Mucklands—and it’s up to you to find out what brought her down, track down the quirky keepers of her broken melody, and sing her sky whole again." Having fallen from the storm clouds into Roost Hall at Blight’s End. She cannot speak, only hum fragments of a shattered memory-song that echo with visions of lonely places across the Mucklands: a drowned riverboat that plays the same sad waltz forever, a fairground trapped between seasons, a humming cairn sinking beneath the reeds, and other forgotten landmarks slowly falling out of tune. The dragon, Lyrra, is one of the last great chroniclers of the Mucklands — a living keeper of memory whose song has broken into six scattered Notes. If those Notes are not restored, entire stories, roads, and communities may slowly be forgotten. The Purple Dragons Resounding is a cozy overland adventure set in Land of Eem, blending heartfelt fantasy, strange humor, swampy exploration, and collaborative storytelling. Think The Muppets meets Lord of the Rings: funny and whimsical one moment, sincere and emotionally resonant the next. Players take on the role of young Caretakers traveling the Mucklands by skiff, wagon, and muddy footpath, solving problems through creativity, kindness, teamwork, and courage rather than simple combat. Dangerous situations absolutely exist — collapsing ruins, giant swamp creatures, cursed landmarks, sinking bogs — but violence is rarely the best answer. Every challenge can be fought, but understanding the problem usually changes the world for the better. This game is especially welcoming for beginners, younger players, families, and anyone who enjoys roleplay-heavy adventures with meaningful choices and strong emotional themes. I run games that emphasize exploration, memorable NPCs, campfire scenes, player creativity, and collaborative problem-solving over strict optimization or tactical combat. Expect cozy travel, weird roadside encounters, heartfelt moments, physical challenges with multiple solutions, and a world that remembers the kindness you show it.
