Lesbeans Coffeehouse: The Gate Between Worlds
Hidden among the skyscrapers and busy streets is a small wooden and brick building that could easily go unnoticed if not for the constant smell of coffee and sweets emanating from it, not to mention the colorful decoration on the windows and tables. This is Lesbeans Coffeehouse, a famous coffee shop among the queer folx of this city. It is known as a haven to anyone out of the cishet norm who wants a quiet place to rest from the busy life of the city. It is welcoming, comfortable and safe. Its matron, Marsha Jollyday, is famous for not hesitating when it comes to protecting her beloved cafe and has been known to "kindly invite" certain people to leave the place when they step out of line. But the magic in this place goes beyond the delectable coffee options, types of cakes and queer events. At the back of the coffee shop there's a secret hidden from most people in the city. A door hidden in the employee's area leads to a green marble archway that seems to be constantly shining, even in the darkness. This is no mere decoration, but a gateway into Foxhole Woods, a world of magic, fairies and spirits hidden from the mundanity of the human world. The people in the coffeehouse are tasked with guarding the gate and assisting the magical folx from the Woods, but they must balance these obligations with their actual work at the coffeehouse, their everyday lives outside of work and even protecting their job from those who would seek to harm the café out of greed, hatred or ignorance.

Instead of defeating your enemies with magic and blade, expect to romance them into following your lead, making them happier by pairing them up with another NPC or by showing their lackeys how much more awesome you are (and sometimes things are solved in battle, you are still a sword lesbian after all). Most of the PCs in this adventure will be workers at the Lesbeans Coffeehouse and despite its name, players aren't required to roleplay as lesbians or even women. This is a game about exploring identities and overcoming adversities and that can come in many forms.

About me
Hey, everyone. After many years playing and GMing various types of games, I've decided to delve deeper into the hobby. I currently have my own website with RPG-related content, along with some board game goodness. I'm also working on a DnD book and some other stuff that I'm super excited to share with you all in the future. I have experience with many different systems. From the classic D&D to the edgy World of Darkness. From the futuristic Cypher to the gloriously queer Thirsty Sword Lesbians. I've really played it all (except for Gurps...that one gave me a headache). As a GM, I very much value roleplay and fun, with a good touch of chaos. Metagame is nearly useless in my games, as many monsters will have different abilities and other surprises I'll throw in. That medusa? She's a cursed human and kept her paladin levels. That hag is genuinely just a salesperson (just ignore some of the creepier products). Oh, and the dragon breathes hallucinogenic gas instead of fire. Good luck.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session zero and any details can be solved during the week preceding the first session. In this system, some of the character creation is an actual part of the game so we will do it together.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Getting the Thirsty Sword Lesbians and reading the rules is a plus, but not necessary. They can also learn the basic rules from any other Powered by the Apocalypse system, although some things will be different. I will be explaining the rules in detail during session zero and along the first few sessions. Since we'll be playing with Roll20 and Discord, accounts in those websites are required. A good mic can also be very helpful.

This system/setting is focused on romance and the connection between PCs. Players need to be comfortable with this sort of deeper roleplay. That being said, no one is forced to RP anything they don't want to and these connections don't necessarily need to be romantic (if you are "smitten" by another PC, that could just mean you are impressed by them, not necessarily attracted). Sex can happen but it is ALWAYS fade-to-black (this means it is not roleplayed and is generally summarized into a single sentences such as: "and they had a good time during the night".) Other triggers and possible content will be discussed during session zero. IMPORTANT: Any form of intentional discrimination from the players will result in immediate expulsion from the game.
