About the adventure
Your adventure begins on the edge of civilisation... The frontier town of Phandalin is a place of opportunity, danger, and forgotten secrets. When a simple escort mission leads to a discovery far greater than expected, a band of unlikely heroes will find themselves drawn into a tale of ancient magic, lost treasures, dangerous creatures, and a legendary mine hidden for centuries. Lost Mine of Phandelver is a classic heroic fantasy adventure designed as a perfect introduction to Dungeons & Dragons. Whether this is your first time rolling a d20 or you're a seasoned adventurer looking to revisit a beloved campaign, this game offers a chance to explore a rich fantasy world, make meaningful choices, and create unforgettable stories together. Expect a balance of exploration, role play, puzzles, and exciting combat encounters. I enjoy creating a welcoming table where players can get comfortable in character, experiment with their abilities, and work together to overcome challenges. New players will have guidance every step of the way, no prior D&D knowledge is required! This adventure is about more than defeating monsters and collecting treasure; it’s about the friendships you build, the choices you make, and the stories that emerge along the way. Gather your party, sharpen your swords, and prepare to uncover the secrets of the Lost Mine of Phandelver.

What Ravaneath brings to the table
Beginner-friendly Whether it's your first session or your hundredth, you're welcome at my table. I'm happy to teach the rules, help with character creation, explain Roll20, and answer questions as we play. Well-prepared sessions I enjoy preparing campaigns in advance with maps, NPCs, handouts, encounters, and contingency plans. This allows me to adapt confidently to unexpected player choices while keeping the game flowing naturally. Role-play & player agency Your choices matter. I encourage role-play, creative problem-solving, and teamwork, giving players multiple ways to overcome challenges rather than expecting a single "correct" solution. Cinematic storytelling When the story calls for it, I lean into descriptive narration to make victories, failures, and emotional moments feel memorable. Not every sword swing receives a dramatic speech, but the moments that matter do. Adaptive combat Every group enjoys combat differently. Whether you prefer tactical planning, fast-paced encounters, or a more narrative style, I adapt combat to suit the party while keeping the stakes meaningful. Fair and consistent rulings I generally follow the Rules as Written (RAW), but I'm transparent whenever I use Rules as Intended (RAI), house rules, or an occasional Rule of Cool moment. My goal is to keep the game fair, consistent, and fun without lengthy rules debates interrupting play. Immersive presentation Sessions include curated maps, tokens, ambient music, and sound effects where appropriate to help bring locations and encounters to life. Structured sessions I keep sessions well paced with a consistent structure that includes time for planning, role-play, exploration, and action. There are scheduled comfort breaks and time at the end of each session for questions, feedback, and campaign discussion. Story-driven progression Characters advance through milestone levelling, allowing progression to reflect the story rather than experience point totals. A welcoming table Respect, communication, and collaboration are the foundation of my games. I encourage players to bring their own ideas and creativity to the table so that together we can build a story that's uniquely ours.
