About the adventure

Werewolf the Apocalypse is a Storyteller 5e game system that uses a d10 pool system, rolls are made by combining pools of attributes, skills, disciplines and backgrounds in (typically) pairs. A result on a d10 of 6 or higher is a success. Your pool is rolled against a difficulty, the number of successes you need to roll for success. More successes over the difficulty gives you a great margin, allowing more information/damage/access, etc. You play locals of the fictional small town of Deerwood, a pack of garou, who until now haven't been able to leave the town for long without some circumstance drawing them back. Now they know the truth of the world, that they are its protectors and that an unnatural servant of the Wyrm is working to trap them here for reasons unknown. Garou are wolves and humans who were always fated to change into what we know to be werewolves, half-spirits not fully part of either world. After the change they hear Gaia's screams at the destruction of the natural world, already too late to save her.

Character creation

Creating your character

The game will have a free session 0, we'll discuss safety tools, the system & setting, and create your characters. If anything is left unfinished I can help you on discord before the next session. We'll follow the guidelines laid out in the Core Rulebook of Werewolf the Apocalypse 5e. You're welcome to use any supplements from the editions official game line.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need an account on discord and roll20. I'll create a discord server and roll20 game for the game.

What Will brings to the table

I do character voices, I use a discord bot to play music but typically just as ambience, I prefer to follow the rules as written to keep things fair but when nessecary I'm happy to bend the rules for group comfort.

Safety

How Will creates a safe table

I prefer communicative tools, check ins and open communication I think are the first defense against miscommunication. Discussing the session afterwards is a great way to decompress. I have an open door policy and I will never hold it against you if you need to step away to decompress or process for any reason. Breaks will be offered, one short break at the end of every hour, session permitting. You may also inform us and step away at any time. Additionally, lines and veils will be discussed in session 0 and kept in view for all players on the vtt and discord.
