About the adventure
The Worldwound has been sealed. The Whispering Tyrant has been defeated. Golarion has survived catastrophe after catastrophe, but now an ancient terror stirs once more. From the endless darkness of the Tanglebriar, the Demon Lord Treerazer has begun his greatest campaign yet. Entire forests vanish beneath a tide of corrupted growth as abyssal spores spread farther with each passing day. Villages disappear overnight. Once-proud defenders of nature return as twisted servants of the demonic bloom. Nations struggle to understand the scale of the threat before it is too late. In Spore War, you'll play heroes thrust into the front lines of a conflict unlike any before. This campaign blends desperate survival, military resistance, dangerous exploration, and high-stakes heroism as you battle through corrupted wilderness, defend settlements from overwhelming assaults, uncover ancient secrets hidden beneath infected forests, and take the fight directly to Treerazer's growing empire. Every victory pushes back the corruption, but every failure allows it to spread. Expect memorable NPCs, tactical combat, meaningful choices, and a world that reacts to your successes and failures. Allies may rise or fall depending on your decisions, regions can be saved or lost, and the front lines of the war shift as the campaign unfolds. You'll have opportunities to influence powerful factions, earn legendary relics, and become the champions who determine the fate of Golarion. This game is built for players who enjoy teamwork, character-driven roleplay, and challenging tactical encounters. Creative solutions are always encouraged, and clever plans are rewarded just as much as winning a straight fight. Whether you're negotiating an alliance, scouting behind enemy lines, or making a desperate last stand against impossible odds, every session is designed to give each character a chance to shine. We'll be using the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster rules, with Foundry VTT handling automation, maps, lighting, music, and visual effects to keep the game moving smoothly. New players are absolutely welcome. I enjoy teaching the system and I'm happy to help with character creation, rules questions, and learning the game as we play. Veterans will find challenging encounters and opportunities to make full use of Pathfinder's tactical depth, while newcomers can expect a welcoming table where questions are encouraged. If you enjoy epic fantasy, desperate last stands, terrifying monsters, and the chance to stand against one of Golarion's greatest threats, then gather your allies. The forests are already changing, the spores are on the wind, and the war has begun.

About me
I always loved creating fascinating stories and situations for player characters to react and solve. My promise is that sessions will be engaging, intense, and dramatic, as we experience the stories of the world and our characters unfold before our eyes. Writing this after doing over 40 sessions for SPG. I first got into DMing for DnD for family and friends, eventually branching out to online communities. While I maintain those sessions I also was curious if I could make a living out of being a DM as all of the players I DMed for showed enthusiastic support and eagerness for each and every session. Branching out to SPG I started with just a single session, and they loved it. Then when Dragonlance released I put out a few more sessions that wouldn't conflict with my work schedule and with all of their enthusiastic love, support and encouragement for me as a DM and for the stories we tell as well as their eagerness for next session "Is it (session day) yet?" I decided to try to make this silly hobby a full time job. I would not be doing this without the massive amount of support and encouragement from my players. With that, I would like to invite you to join our community. I have been making stories with systems similar to DnD since I was in Highschool. When I started playing DnD and eventually gained the confidence to become a DM in every game I was in my players kept asking me to extend the session length, even upwards of lasting the whole day. Then when I learned people have made a living doing this I decided to reach out to StartPlayGames and see what I can add to this community!

What Count Camerox brings to the table
My goal is to create a game where every player feels like their character matters. Whether you're here for tactical combat, roleplaying memorable characters, or uncovering the world's mysteries, you'll have opportunities to make meaningful choices that shape the story. You can expect high-quality maps, immersive ambient music, dynamic lighting, custom tokens, and extensive automation through Foundry VTT to keep combat fast and engaging. I give every important NPC a distinct personality and voice, making allies and villains alike feel memorable. Combat is tactical, challenging, and rewarding. Enemies fight intelligently, terrain matters, and teamwork is often the difference between victory and defeat. Success comes from planning, communication, and adapting to the battlefield, not simply rolling high. I primarily run Pathfinder Second Edition as Rules as Written, but I also believe the rules exist to create exciting stories. If a creative idea fits the situation and makes for a memorable moment, I'm always happy to reward clever thinking. My goal isn't to beat the players. It's to present meaningful challenges, celebrate heroic moments, and create an adventure you'll remember long after the campaign ends. Whether you're a Pathfinder veteran or completely new to the system, you'll find a welcoming table where questions are encouraged, teamwork is valued, and everyone has a chance to shine.

How Count Camerox creates a safe table
top priorities. Before the campaign begins, we'll have a dedicated Session 0 to discuss expectations, character creation, table etiquette, themes, and boundaries. Every player will receive a Lines and Veils document to complete before play so we can establish everyone's comfort levels and avoid unwanted content. There shouldn't be any disturbing content in this campaign that should warrant any pauses but in the event anyone crosses a line and we need to pause or change directions, we'll do so without requiring an explanation. Player comfort always takes priority over the game. After each session, I like to spend a few minutes checking in with the group. We'll talk about favorite moments, anything that could be improved, and whether anyone has concerns they'd like to discuss. Players are also welcome to contact me privately between sessions if something comes up or if they'd like to provide feedback. The Spore War is a dark fantasy campaign featuring demonic corruption, body horror, warfare, loss, and difficult choices. While these themes are central to the story, they'll always remain within the boundaries established by the group. My goal is to create an intense, memorable adventure where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and excited to return each week.
