About the adventure
The Kingdom of Breton is locked in a decades long war to the south with their neighbour The Empire of Sooth. The war demands more and more of the Queen's army leaving many towns without protection. Bandits have begun to pop up, but what's worse is the unnaturally fierce and large beasts that have begun to roam the countryside. Intelligent Winter Wolves, Lizards the size of a tavern, some reports even hint at a dragon. There just isn't enough soldiers to go around. So the Queen has commissioned monster hunting guilds. The town of Givern has begun missing people. At first it wasn't anyone of concern. The local drunk, a child or two. It happens. They wander into the wood never to be seen again. Now however, others have vanished. The baker, few waitresses, and even the mayor's own son. He has sent a message to the local Hunters Guild and is offering a 500 Gold Piece bounty on whatever it is that plagues his town.

About me
Hi! I've been Gming ttrpgs for 31 years, and I love it. I build open worlds that shift and change around the players; where you can go anywhere and adventure is just around the corner. I excel at helping players build backstories and weaving them into the game. As a GM I truly believe that the table top is about bringing the player's story to life, and making that happen is my favorite part of ttrpg. It's important to me to run an inclusive, safe table. To that I end I employ session zero, a discord, open discussion policy, a zero tolerance of bigotry policy. Politics are inevitable in an rpg game, however hate has no place.

Creating your character
Hi! So this is obviously a monster hunting campaign. When you build your character build for large fights and over the hill antics, just remember that there is physics and consequences to every action. Look into some professional homebrew stuff like the new Heliana's material. Character Creation in D&D Beyond will likely begin when you sign on, but definitely finish on session 0.

What Alice brings to the table
Hi so this is obviously a monster hunting campaign. I will definitely be using the crafting and harvesting rules in Heliana's Monster Hunter Guide and big monsters. I'm an open world rule of cool DM with over 3 decades of experience. I promise a good time.
Homebrew rules
I use Flanking. In this campaign drinking a healing potion will take a bonus action and healing potions have 3 servings in them. I'm sure there's a few other homebrew rules or actually leftovers from old editions I just can't think of them.

How Alice creates a safe table
I plan on using a variety of safety features. We'll talk about any lines during session zero. I like to debrief after every session so I can continue to improve and fashion the game for each specific group. And I believe that taking bathroom breaks are important.
