About the adventure
X. With magic, anything is possible. What if, the arcane energy that allowed you to cast spells began leaking like radiation? In this game, you'll enter the ruined city of Drakkenheim, in search of glory, revenge, renown, or possibly, to turn yourself into a mutated monster. X. Discover an almost limitless amount of magical loot, craft weapons from monster parts, or graft them onto your body. X. Push your magic abilities to the extreme, discover new spells, bend the laws of physics until they break, and hope it doesn't blow your party up in the process X. Gain powerful allies or make dangerous enemies, destroy your rivals or win them over X. Cleanse the corruption before it takes over the world, or turn into a Lich, Vampire, Fiend, or even a Dragon and rule the ashes. X. Your decisions matter, and can lead to a High Level or Sequel Campaign! X. While this game is high concept, it's low tech! Play from your computer, tablet, or even your phone! I do NOT use generative AI for any of prep and would like you do do the same, I like my Eldritch Horror to be extradimensional, not corporate

Creating your character
X. When can you make your character? You can create your character before or after our Session 0, and I will be readily available to assist development at any hour to make your character fit your concept X. Where to make a character? DnD Beyond preferred, but any 1st party or 3rd party sources are free to use, and I have most of the available character options shared in the campaign. Homebrew may be accepted but we will go over it together! X. How can you make your character? You may use Standard Array, Point Buy, or Rolled. For HP, if starting at Level 1, will be at max. Upon level up we roll 2 Hit Dice, picking Largest. Character Creation should be fun! If you are unfamiliar, I can take you through the process step-by-step.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
X. Communication A Discord Server link will be provided for all campaign players, where we will have text chat and voice. I will have my Webcam turned on, but it is not expected of any player X. Game Integration DnD Beyond is preferred for your character sheet, because it will be integrated into Encounter+, where you will be able to roll on your sheet and see results in the VTT. Encounter+ is a powerful but less tech reliant than other VTTs. You will be able to join without making an account from anywhere! Mobile Phone, Tablet, or Computer!
What Angelo brings to the table
Face your character's fears, kick butt, and revel in your victories! I'm a character forward DM, and will make any character concept fit into the game. We all want to get lost in our fantasy, to whatever depth you desire. The threats you face will feel real, but so will the relationships you build with each other, and whatever NPC you end up latching onto. Combat will be tactical, but the Rule of Cool exists to make the fiction play out.
Homebrew rules
X. Combat No Flanking, Potions can be drank as a bonus action, Healing Potions can be drank as an action to get max healing, Grievous Wounds from Grim Hollow will be implemented X. Spell Scrolls Anyone can use a scroll, even if it's not on your spell list, you will just have to succeed an Ability Check X. Death Natural 1 on Death Saves may just give you a Wound instead of 2 Fails, upon any form of Character Death you will have options to: Make a Dark Bargain to Revive, Gain a Transformation, Go out in a Blaze of Glory, or Lay to Rest.

It's only fun when everyone is having fun. We will have an open door policy to voice concerns, and will have breaks to check in on everyone.
