About the adventure
Ghouls, ghosts and vampires, all those and more are daily reality in the dark kingdom of Geb! This land has been ruled for the last 6000 years by an immortal Ghost-King and his Council of Blood Lords, who do his bidding and govern the day-to-day affairs. Here the living and the intelligent undead enjoy the same rights and protection in the eyes of the law and as such many of these Blood Lords are undead themselves, and some have ruled for as long as the kingdom existed. But some mortals have demonstrated extraordinary skills and magical aptitude, that helped secure themselves a place amongst the ruling body - for a time at least. You have caught the eye of one such mortal Blood Lord, who sees you as a promising upstart with potential, and hopes to use you to increase her own sphere of influence. Working for her, you quickly discover that a minor mystery spirals into a vast conspiracy headed from within the ranks of the Blood Lords themselves. Slay zombies or create your own undead armies, build up your own power in any way you see fit, starting at level 1 and climbing all the way to level 20. Eventually you'll even be elevated to the rank of a Blood Lord itself! All this will allow you to prove your loyalty to the Ghost-King! 🚫 What this game is NOT 🚫 * The game is not an adventure for the classic hero archetype. The goal is not to overthrow the undead government and free the country. You will work within the system, be employed by bad people to work against even worse people, and rise in the power structure of the kingdom, to the very top. If you come with a character intended to change the system for the better, you won't have much fun. * Likewise however it is not a lawless campaign for chaotic murder-hobos. If you start killing everyone and everything you see, you quickly become a liability to the well oiled, zombie-fueled machinery that is Geb, and will be harshly dealt with. You will have your chance to commit evil, but often it is focused on other evil people. Similarly the game does not force you to sacrifice orphans or anything along those lines, for example. But if you go about it the right way and fill out the correct forms, you may even get away with it. ✅ What the game IS ✅ * Political intrigue, role play and combat will all play big parts. You work within the system of an evil nation, not to change or overthrow it, but to exploit it for your own benefits. * This is a campaign for those archetypes that often don't fit in other games. Dark Paladins, ruthless Assassins and of course Necromancers would fit right in, and so will plenty of others. * Undead PCs are absolutely possible in this campaign! Skeletons, Vampires, Ghosts or even Liches (though those only once you have amassed enough power) are all on the table. You can even start as a mortal and become undead over the course of the game. * Mindless undead or mortal slaves are not protected by the same laws mentioned above. So there will be plenty of targets for Evil Deeds.

About me
Hello! I'm Florian, a Game Master based in Germany. I discovered tabletop RPGs a little later than most - around the age of 30 - but for the past 15 years, they've been a huge part of my life. Whether I'm behind the screen or rolling dice as a player, I love diving into new systems and crafting memorable stories. I got my start with Pathfinder right when 1st Edition launched, and I've been hooked ever since. While I never really played much D&D, Pathfinder 2e has become my favorite system to run these days. I also have experience running Vampire: The Masquerade and Shadowrun, and I've dabbled in many other games as a player. What I love the most about TTRPGs is the collaborative nature of it, where we all tell a story together.

Creating your character
We will create the characters together in the Session 0. Don't worry, despite everything you heard it's a fairly easy process and I will guide you through it. You may have heard horror stories about how difficult Pathfinder 2e is, but its actually very straight-forward and its very hard to screw up. The game starts at level 1 and you will reach level 20 by the end.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
🎤 A working microphone 🌐 A stable internet connection and an internet browser (like Edge or Chrome) 💬 A free Discord account (I can help set one up if needed) 🎧 (Optional) Headphones are highly recommended to avoid any echo. If you're using speakers, you'll need to set up "Push to talk" (we can do that together) 📷 (Optional) A webcam. I'll use one, as it helps me communicate, but no pressure.
What Florian the GM brings to the table
I'll provide access to the Foundry VTT and Discord Server that's being used for the game. The Foundry VTT handles the math and bookkeeping automatically, so you can focus on the roleplay and immerse yourself in the world. I'll provide music for ambiance.
Homebrew rules
We'll be using the "Free Archetype" variant rule from the Core Rulebook, which gives players more options without limiting their growth in their main class. Other house rules can be discussed in Session 0 or at any point during the game.

How Florian the GM creates a safe table
We will start the campaign with a Session 0. Those unfamiliar with the term, that is where we’ll go over expectations that everyone has for the game as well as the safety tools that are being used. Afterwards we’ll work together on forming a coherent party and create your characters. Despite the overall theme of the game (dark, evil, horror) it is important to me that all players feel comfortable, and no limits are crossed. As such, Lines and Veils will be handled via the Monte Cook RPG Consent Sheet, which covers many "common" limits already and allows everyone to add their own as well. During gameplay you can always indicate with the X-Card that you're not comfortable with a certain topic and it will be avoided, no questions asked. This is handled through a Foundry VTT module. Don't be shy to use it if needed. After the game everyone can share their thoughts on the game, as well as post them in the Stars and Wishes channel on Discord.
