About the adventure

GESTALT CAMPAIGN! https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Gestalt_(5e_Variant_Rule) This is a homebrew setting that will have Fey, goblin hosts, orc hordes, undead, and many mages (if you want to build your character around that information). Moral decisions and trickery awaits all throughout, but here is a breakdown of what to expect without any major spoilers! Introduction Level one will be a way to get to know your character and get use to the gestalt homebrew rules. It will also introduce the group to the story itself: one reason or another, the party is heading towards a town called 'Hakrel'. ACT I Traveling to Hakrel, solving their immediate problems with evil fey that are harvesting the wild magic and making life horrid for the locals. Discover clues, future threads, and potential allies for the adventure to come! Your character's adventure threads will found to build on for the rest of the campaign. ACT II Save Hakrel in a sense the party considers it saved (no further comment). Follow clues that inevitably lead to the Underdark that involves the lost gate to the Fey Wild. Your hero (or otherwise) will become a well known and respected authority in the region! ACT III Critical closures of threads that have lead here and the climatic end that leaves the party with the final say on a global decision: recreate the gate that leads to the Fey Wilds or decide some things were shut for a reason.

About me

Howdy, I'm the Minotaur of Malice, or (reluctantly) my initials as my players have come to call me... I am your neighborhood DM-ing man ready to whip up some fun adventures with some gimmick or another. Most importantly, I want to mesh our creative ideas together in a group of excited players to make a memorable campaign. Communication, creativity, and snacks are crucial to creating the best memories together. My biggest claim to success is running Tyranny of Dragons and making it ENJOYABLE for the table! Flexibility and maintaining an understanding of wants and desires for a game (with slight seasonings of surprise). Even homebrews are based the table. Whether it is helping a new player to the hobby or adding intrigue for a veteran, I seek to bring joy and refreshing play for all involved. If you want to join this journey, let me know and we'll get this die rolling!

Character creation

Creating your character

This campaign will be starting at level 1 mostly so that people can get familiar with the Gestalt Mechanics, as it is essentially doubling up on feats. This can get overwhelming, confusing, or frustrating quickly for those unfamiliar with how the homebrew rules work. GESTALT HOMEBREW https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Gestalt_(5e_Variant_Rule) This link includes: ✔ Starting Gold ✔ Starting Proficiencies ✔ Hit Dice and Hit Points Other Character Creation Points: • 32-Point Buy • Free Feat These rules are posted with the assumption that you have access to the core rules. Otherwise, I can assist you on session zero. We will be officially discussing what we intend to play in during said session zero and how we will generally be introduced into the game.

What Minotaur of Malice brings to the table

I will be utilizing voice over Discord to run the games as we play over Roll20. I will try to balance things as I learn the party's playstyle, but by default I go with RaW until we have an understanding of the group's desires where I'll expand it to our fun. Combat will scale to the party's gestalt capabilities with environmental considerations.
