Dungeons & Dragons 5e Levels 1-8 Beginner Friendly LGBTQ+ Friendly Roleplay Heavy, Coming Of Age, Mystery Azemar Academy is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure set within the world’s most prestigious adventuring school, an institution where the greatest heroes, mages, warriors, and explorers have trained for generations. You will begin your journies as first-year students, arriving at the academy with dreams of glory, recognition, and becoming legendary adventurers. But life at Azemar is not just about fighting monsters and mastering magic; students must also survive demanding classes, difficult assignments, dangerous practical exams, and the intense pressure of competing against the best young adventurers in the world. Within the towering halls of Azemar Academy, players will discover that school life is filled with challenges both magical and personal. Between lessons, homework, and examinations, they will take on quests beyond the classroom, battle creatures, uncover ancient mysteries, and face dangers hidden throughout the academy grounds. As you rise through the ranks, you will form friendships, create rivalries, build relationships, and discover more about who you truly are; both as adventurers and as people. With competition at every turn and countless students fighting for the top spot, the question remains: can you survive your first year, uncover the truth behind Azemar’s secrets, and rise to become the number one adventuring party in the school’s history?

About me
Hail and well met! My name is Elliott and I would love to be your GM. Gming began for me running games during school lunches. Over the past ten years it has become an important part of my life. I have GMed for schools, events and ran years long campaigns, set up clubs and introduced the hobby to folks of all ages. I am a published author, creating the Monster School series of books for young children, as well as doing work in illustration and editing. I hold a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, with a focus on medieval literature and a Master's in Medieval Studies. My games have ranged from the crunchy earlier editions of Dungeons & Dragons to roleplay-forward systems like Monster of the Week. My players have explored genres from supernatural mysteries to low fantasy wars and superhero noir, and I'm always excited to write more. I have a 100s of pieces of art crafted for my games including characters, items, maps and even comicbook covers.

Creating your character
Our first year students will be lvl 1 Dungeons and Dragons 5e characters. We will build these characters in our free Session 0, in which we will choose stats, classes, species and backgrounds, as well as picking what subjects we will each be taking at Azemar Academy. Feel free to have an idea and build coming in or decide with help and feedback from your party. Character creation will be explained step by step for new players.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be playing on the website Roll20 and use a custom discord sever for our game call, so an account on both will be required.
What Which Dice? brings to the table
Our games will include character art, custom maps and custom storylines all created by me. I will also provide background music that can be toggled on and off. This game will include both roleplay heavy stretches of the academic year as well as opportunities to use your growing adventuring skills in extracurricular activities and quests, with exciting combat and monsters you will never have seen before.
Homebrew rules
Our games will include some light homebrew elements for relationship tracking and tracking the academic side of the game, with exams and assignements

Safety
How Which Dice? creates a safe table
We will take part in a free Session 0, part of which will involve discussing content warnings, a Lines and Veils page and a discussion on conduct. Within our sessions every individual is encouraged to utilise the ability to Pause, Stop, Skip, Fast Forward or Rewind a scene, a system that I find to be cohesive and liberating for players.
