About the adventure

(All players will have a free session 0 and session 1 to see if I fit their style!) We are in the year 2245, and the ghost of Uncle Sam has been laid to rest. The New California Republic prepares to move past its founder, and to secure Navarro. The Brotherhood of Steel is barring its doors. Arroyo is growing to become a new beacon in the Wastes. New Reno and Vault City struggle under the weight of the bear. And the wasteland keeps became less unknown by the day Yet humanity lusts as always for more, more land, more riches, and more of the old. Oregon, the edge of the world, is not the end of it, and someone needs to push the maps northward. (Bad slam poetry aside) Evergreen Armies is a campaign open for players of all skill level, and any knowledge level of the Fallout universe. The Campaign is focused on a light but ever present need for survival, with plenty of combat and exploration, but don't expect a lack of intrigue either, many of the folks you meet on your journey have there own motivations. Your quest doesn't make you heroes: I love fully kindly and good characters, but, as long as you aren't a mustache twirling villain (or hide the fact that you are) this campaign can fit your morals, as the main driving force can rather easily be cold hard cash, or something much more good-natured if that fits your character. Let your morally-grey self shine!!! New and old: While players will encounter Fallout classics they will also meet plenty of new and odd things, from mutants to factions and more. A blast from the past: I love all Fallouts, even Tactics, but for this campaign I aim to capture the vibes and sprit of Fallout 1 and 2 in my own way, and I hope to similarly immerse you in the feelings of 1950-70's Americana, and its impacts on a world far after its end. Fallout is my favorite franchise, and I am so very eager to bring you into its world. Wacky, dark, varied, their are so many things that make me love this series, just as I hope you will love this Campaign!

About me

Heya! I'm Malachi! I am a forever GM who wants to bring y'all into the this wonderful hobby, or just help ya do said hobby! I got started on TTRPG's during a time when I was very anti-social and in a rather dark spot. My brother convinced me to try out a Curse of Strahd game at a hobby store near us. Needless to say I fell in love After that campaign was over I started a TTRPG club at my Highschool, and in a online RP sever, GM'ing clicked with me like nothing else, and bringing folks into the hobby is something truly special. Now? I hope to give others the same love for this wonderful amazing hobby as I have grown to hold! (And maybe get the funds for even more game-books while doing it)

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be starting at level 1, I will provide near all core-and-supplementary content and aid all players with character creation as needed, and at any point. Players are free to make characters using a given pdf, but I would recommend first and foremost making the character in the foundry vtt server we will be using Community content for the system will (almost) always be accepted, and homebrew stuff will be looked over, and as long as it ain't busted, you can probably get it approved. It is worth noting that this campaign will be set on the West Coast of America, just after the timeframe of Fallout 2, however that shouldn't stop you from being from elsewhere, and feel free to get a lil' wacky with it

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord account and an internet connection to join this game, (and I would also recommend just about any free PDF viewer), but so long as you have that, you are good to go! You will be given anything and everything else to play! (Via google drive) Our meeting place will be a discord server, which you will be invited to. We will be using Foundry for much of our needs, and don't worry if you have never used the site before, I will make sure you are set up properly You will notice that in equipment there is no microphone, this is intentional. I have ran games for all sorts of folk, and text based entities are very welcome, whether you are shy, can't use/don't have a mic, or just like typing better.

What Malachi brings to the table

You will be given anything and everything you to play Fallout 2d20! (Including supplementary books, and various aids I can find) Along with a Foundry VTT setup to explore I will bring (optional) ambient music for most situations. As for rules, expect rule of cool and a focus on smooth ease, rather than the book or bust. Combat will be tough, often risky, and always needing a keen mind, but never a truly unfair situation. Exploration will be tense and sometimes spooky, but rewarding. And intriguers and thinkers will be given quite a bit to dwell on, as not everything is what it seems... I hope to bring y'all a grand ol' time!

Homebrew rules

The survival elements of the game will be present, but light, and while this is no OSR style game this is still a wasteland, toss junk at your own peril, but don't worry about crafting every little thing Any Perks/general perquisites will be very flexible, as long as you can convince me of your scheme/epic flavor. (Will discuss further in session 0) Homebrew will be run by on a case by case basis, and I will make a list of pre-approved community content for everyone.

Safety

How Malachi creates a safe table

SESSION 0 WILL BE FREE! Player comfort is my utmost priority, as it always should be! Our aftercare will usually just be a quick check up at the end of session. An open feedback form will be available. And simplest, tell me any no's you encounter privately, never be afraid to do so, and never be afraid to pull me aside
