About the adventure
July, 1248 - Western Europe prepares for the 7th crusade. Vampires across the continent manage their domains and prepare for another mortal mobilization, this time with Egypt as the main target. While travelling to set your affairs in order, you have been captured by the court of Denmark. Arrested for feeding within a restricted area of the Prince's domain. The penalty for such a transgression is a Blood Hunt, where all the vampires in the domain are ordered to hunt down and destroy you. Luckily for you, the Prince of Denmark is a very welcoming man, and would like to make you an offer. While you are free to decline, there is much that a vampire like you could benefit from taking him up on his offer. Even more than leaving with your un-life intact --- Chronicle Summary: Under threat of Final Death, you are tasked to travel to Paris and deal with a misbehaving vampiric Prince. Excessive indulgence and deviance from those of the Blood is not unusual, but the revels of this court spill over into the populace as well. This has led to the French crown contacting the Papal States to request Inquisitors to purge the alleged satanic stain from the city. Having such a commotion upon the doorstep of the Denmark Prince's territories is not anything that the master of the domain wants to deal with. which means that you are given an offer; Travel there are eliminate this Prince, purging his corruption in the process, and you will be granted a fife of your own to rule. The clock ticks, and time is not on your side to root out this corruption. For perhaps the first time in your unlife, you might not be the most fearsome thing lurking in the dark.

About me
Hello, one and all! My name is Connor, and I've been a GM since 2018, but with experience in TTRPGs going all the way back to 2007. RPGs have been a tradition in my family since the early 80s, stretching across 3 whole generations. I've picked up the torch as a third generation GM, ready to bring more than 40 years of shared experience and knowledge to the table. I'm a lover of a good mystery, and I enjoy incorporating aspects of investigative gameplay even in stories not primarily about solving a mystery. If a story makes you stop and think "now what could that possibly mean?" then there's a strong chance that I'll be all over it. If you're looking for games that will challenge your characters, while presenting twists and turns for them to work through as intriguing stories unfold due to their actions, then I'd love to run a game for you!

Creating your character
Character creation will be done together during a free session 0. We will be building character relations, backgrounds, and bonds in order to flesh out the 150 years of unlife you have already had.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Roll20 account, as well as a Discord account in order to access the virtual tabletop and voice chat for this game. Both accounts can be made easily for free if you do not have them already.
What The 3rd Gen GM brings to the table
I have a community Discord server you will have access to when you join the game. I also have a bot that will be used in the server for ambient music and background sounds.
Homebrew rules
We will generally keep to rules-as-written for this chronicle. However that is said with the understanding that the rules are a framework to express the fiction of the shared story, and players should not feel restricted to exact RAW if there is something that is narratively reasonable or interesting.

How The 3rd Gen GM creates a safe table
Vampire: Dark Ages is a horror game, and as such, it can deal with horrific and sensitive topics that may disturb some players. In order to mitigate unwelcome content as much as possible, we will be discussing the sensitive topics that are very likely to come up, as well as some less likely, but also possible topics and scenarios that may arise. During the actual game, we will be using the X, N, & O cards in order to signal if a time-out is needed, if things are shaky and need to switch direction, or if everyone is consenting and ready to delve further. There will also be a short aftercare session at the end of each game session in order to address emotional Bleed from the session, and help acknowledge and place down any lingering or intense emotions.
