About the adventure
[Both session 0 and the first session for each new player will be free. This includes latecomers to the campaign! This also means the first 2 sessions for the campaign will be free: sessions 0 and 1.] "Each dialectic begins with a proposition, a thesis which inherently contains, or creates, its opposite - an antithesis. Thesis and antithesis. The conflict is inevitable." - Caesar Fallout: Antithesis uses the 100 DOS Atomic Age system, a D100 system with many military simulation elements. If you enjoy Sodaz's Operation Sunburst animation, you will likely enjoy this game system. Your party arrives in a backwater roadside town, making a living through farming and providing many services to traders and other travelers. Your arrival coincides with misfortune, as you learn of an invading army from the East. Caesar's Legion. You and the entire town must pack your things and head West toward the Mojave and NCR borders. The journey will be long and treacherous. Food, water, and disease will all come into play, as will the many dangers of the wasteland, all while you must keep ahead of the Legion. Imagine the Oregon Trail, where you must keep a balance between speed and resources to both stay one step ahead of the Legion and survive the journey. It will not only be you, but the many townsfolk who are relying on you to protect them, each with their own hopes, dreams, and demons. You may not be able to save everyone. Fallout: Antithesis is primarily a narrative campaign, but combat will still play a big role and occur whenever danger arises. Players will be encouraged to weigh their options and decide if their bullets are worth spending on something.

About me
My name is Jake! An enthusiast for all manner of games and holding a love for worldbuilding, it turns out GMing was well suited for me. I have been doing it for a little over a year by the time of this profile's creation. I have a thorough knowledge of game design, possessing a degree in the subject, and understand what makes a game fun. I alter game systems with my own minor modifications whether it's to make an unloved ability worth taking or insert some measure of common sense for interesting effect. It turns out that breaking the sound barrier has consequences! More importantly I aim to ensure a smooth game for each session that feels both challenging and rewarding. I also hold a degree in creative writing! I am all about creating stories with plot and narrative, not to mention intricate worldbuilding, then tying players into that story! I will alter the whole world if it meant a player could fit in their unique origin story! While I do write sessions ahead of time, I am absolutely willing to scrap the entire future story and start an entire new branch of the timeline should the party decide on a new direction! Lastly I know that the human body isn't meant to be RPGing for 4 hours straights, so breaks will be a thing.

Creating your character
I, the Gamemaster, will personally work with each player to help set up their character. This will primarily be done during session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you have a Discord account. The rules for the Atomic Age are available online, and I can also provide them to you. Ideally, players should familiarize themselves with the basics of actions within 100DOS combat, as it differs from typical 5E based systems.
What Jake J. brings to the table
Rulebook for the game. I like to voice act for my characters, and I will also be making characters for each individual townsperson that will tag along with you for the journey. Interpersonal conflict will come into play between these characters, providing opportunities for players to mediate.
Homebrew rules
This campaign will use a homebrew resource and caravan system that they will have to contribute to if the party is going to make it to the Mojave. I will also be borrowing a few things here and there from the official Fallout TTRPG, primarily regarding scavenging.

How Jake J. creates a safe table
We, as a group, will discuss our lines and veils during session 0, and anything that anyone wishes to remain private can always be discussed one-on-one. Every session, we will take a 15-minute break at the 2-hour mark. This is also an LGBT+ friendly space, and I will not tolerate any disrespect toward a fellow player.
