About the adventure
Come learn to play Shift in a far flung Space Western adventure! Play as prospectors on the floating Dorado Station, orbiting Ordaz II, a treasure trove of warpstone, the mineral needed for space travel. Though you've "survived" under the "generous" corporate management of the station, most weeks it's just a struggle to make quota and stay out of debt. You're approached by a group of would-be conspirators who promise a better life if you help them "get rid" of the bosses. You'd be a fool not to listen, but of course, now that you have this information, you can't help but think that management would pay dearly for this info, and for your help in taking care of these rebel scum. Either way, your chance to play a part in this shake up comes as a deadly storm begins whirling planet side. How will your fortunes far when the dust settles? Let's find out! In this action packed one-shot you'll find: 🔫 A custom world based off the Dorado Station Shift World Spark ⚙️ The chance to steer the story with each choice and dice roll. No railroads in space! 🍾 An array of cunning, colorful NPCs 🚀 Fast paced, high stakes space adventure! Shift is an easy to learn and fast paced RPG where the world changes with each roll. Join in, no experience or prep necessary, and come have some fun with corporate intrigue and sci-fi adventure in space!

About me
Hello! I'm Jacob, AKA The Infinite Storyteller, or Teller for short. I always have a story on my mind, and there is no way I love to express those stories more than through tabletop gaming. I’m hooked on the magical moment where our collaborative story becomes better than what I had planned. When I have the privilege of telling a story with someone, I help them create a character they feel connected to and that pulls them into the world we are creating together. I want to know who you want to portray, what build you’re dreaming up, and what you’re excited about bringing to the table. Then I want to build an immersive world for your character that is full of vibrant details, exciting NPCs, and surreal and terrifying dangers. So, what story shall we tell? Will you be a questing hero? A scheming mastermind out for themselves? An eccentric researcher? A haunted street thief? A tragic lover seeking to reunite with their beloved? Step into a realm of infinite stories, and let's laugh together, cry together, adventure together. Let me blend game systems, emotional investment, colorful NPCs, exotic locales, and sheer chaos to create the next story you'll tell people about for years.

Creating your character
I will have a variety of pre-generated character sheets that players can tweak before or as we get started. If you want to explore a concept or make a character ahead of time, we can handle that through a brief conversation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No preparation is needed for this game! We will play on Discord and using the Roll20 website, so accounts in those two apps will be needed. If you have those and show up with a willingness to learn the system and have fun we'll have a great time! If you would like to get ahead on learning the rules I am happy to provide resources for the Shift RPG System.

How Infinite Storyteller (Teller) creates a safe table
Player safety is my top priority when playing a TTRPG. Prior to the game all players will receive a Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist and can return the completed checklist to me to review. We will discuss any concerns players have prior to our one shot. While this is not strictly required it is highly encouraged. During gameplay players can introduce a line or veil either verbally or via DM in real time. This functions as an immediate safety tool if something becomes unexpectedly uncomfortable.
