About the adventure
You are a thief. A Highwayman. A killer for hire. You stole something you shouldn’t have. You robbed someone who seeks revenge. You took a hit, and it all went wrong. That’s how you got into this mess. Banding Prison is no place for those who fear God. No matter what you’ve done, you don’t deserve a place like this. So. . . can you escape?

Creating your character
This campaign has you take up a holy quest to absolve you of your sins. This doesn’t mean you have to be absolved throughout the game, but it does mean you are something of an anti-hero trying to make amends. The Mythic North is based on Northern Scotland circa 1200CE and references Romans, and Judeo-Christian conceptions of right and wrong, truth and lies, etc. Within this game, there is no question that God exists. Everyone pretty much agrees that God is real, but whether they follow God’s teachings is up to them—up to you. In this campaign, your character will grapple with what they have done in the past and how they might either atone for their sins or forsake themselves and God all together. On the suggestion of the GMs Guide, all player characters are human. There are no elves or dwarves or other fantasy races in this campaign. Furthermore, on the guidance of the GMs guide, there are the following class options for this campaign: Players Guide Classes: Rogue Sorcerer Warrior GMs Guide Classes: Barbarian Monk Ranger It is possible through gameplay that the campaign takes on other tones and new classes are introduced if/when player characters are killed (which happens often). If you have any questions you can of course ask me when it comes to character creation. That’s all and I look forward to playing with you!
