About the adventure
In this homebrewed world, you will face off against the Church and corrupt nobility to try to bring peace, safety and agency to the people (and yourself!) Set in medieval Europe, the Church has outlawed all non-approved magic. Non-Church casters are witches, and nearly all magic items are witchcraft. Can you take on the Church and survive? Come play in an eerily familiar immersive world where your choices and actions matter. This homebrew campaign will take you from first level to epic levels as you take on the monument that is the Church. Note: while inspired by historical events, this game is a work of collaborative fiction and is in no way meant to be a reflection on actual current or historic religions.

About me
Hi, I'm Daric. I'm neurodivergent and LGBTQ+. I've been DMing for 46 years in every D&D edition except 4th. 3.5 is my preferred system. I've been disabled since 2019 and have the time to seriously devote to DMing. I'm based in New Orleans. I run a homebrewed world called Terra that has been running continuously for 26 years. My game combines a story arc with sandbox freedom. I usually run with 3-6 players at the table to allow maximum time in the spotlight for each character. I love DMing for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is watching players bring their creativity to our stories. I am firmly committed to the philosophy of cooperative storytelling. I hope we can craft some exceptional stories together!

Paladins or other knights must come with a backstory, which I will happily work with you on. All characters know each other, having come from the same fishing village.

How Daric creates a safe table
During session zero, I'll repeat content warnings, and we'll use the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist together. During the game, we'll have at least one break. After game we'll debrief to ensure the choices from the checklist were properly observed or, if necessary, policed.
