About the adventure
The Republic is gone. The Jedi have vanished. The Empire is tightening its grip across the galaxy. For most people, life goes on—just with more checkpoints, more regulations, and more reasons to keep your head down. Out in the Outer Rim, however, there are still places where a person can disappear. Places where questions aren't asked, records go missing, and a fresh start is only a hyperspace jump away. You begin on Trask, a bustling estuary moon on the edge of Imperial space. Smugglers, labourers, refugees, bounty hunters, traders, and drifters all pass through its crowded docks and floating settlements. Like many who arrive here, you're carrying a past you'd rather leave behind. Credits are short, contacts are few, and staying alive means finding work wherever you can. Fortunately, in the Outer Rim there is never a shortage of people willing to pay for a capable crew. This campaign is a sandbox-style Star Wars adventure set in 14 BBY, during the early years of the Empire. You'll travel between worlds, take on dangerous jobs, build a reputation, make allies and enemies, and decide what kind of mark you want to leave on the galaxy. Smuggling runs, salvage operations, bounty hunting, espionage, black market deals, ancient mysteries, criminal syndicates, Imperial entanglements, and the occasional brush with larger galactic events are all on the table. Whether you become heroes, opportunists, rebels, scoundrels, or something in between is entirely up to you. My games lean heavily into roleplay, character-driven stories, and player choice. The galaxy is a living place filled with competing factions, shifting opportunities, and consequences that follow your actions. Combat is certainly part of Star Wars, but not every problem is best solved with a blaster. If you enjoy building a crew, exploring iconic and lesser-known corners of the galaxy, and carving out your own story in the shadow of the Empire, then grab a seat aboard the ship and let's see where hyperspace takes us.

About me
I've been playing DnD for over a decade both as a player and a GM in classic DnD settings, homebrew worlds, Star Wars RPGs and other TTRPGs such as Mythic Bastionlands. I love crafting a world, filling it with intrigue and potential hooks and seeing where the players take their own adventure. I've run campaigns for completely new players and players with twice the experience I have and they've all been a blast. In addition to DnD, I also have a few years of LARP experience and a lifelong passion for fantasy and science fiction worlds which both lend themselves well to roleplay and solid worldbuilding. Aside from that I'm a queer 30 year old guy who loves comic books, Star Wars, How To Train Your Dragon, fantasy books and dice. I run sessions in person and online, in both I use my gaming table and collection of hand-painted miniatures to help set the scene as well as images for specific references.

Creating your character
We will run a session zero where I guide you through character creation. However, this will be the standard rolling 4d6 method. Starting at level 1. The rulebook is available online and I will provide links and run through character creation, broadly speaking it uses a 3e version of D&D with a Star Wars twist.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a Discord account (unless in person is a geographical possibility). I encourage players to use real dice.
What Ryan Watkiss brings to the table
I will provide a lore doc, maps, music, editable character sheet and all NPC voices. As I encourage roleplay in my sessions there are occasions where rule-of-cool will apply and great gameplay will be rewarded.
Homebrew rules
There are some features of the force skills that are not entirely functional so I make some in-game modifications to suit the needs of the campaign, I will go over these in session 0.

How Ryan Watkiss creates a safe table
In session zero and via Direct Messages before session 1 I will discuss player lines and veils as well as how to signal discomfort to me during a session.
