About the adventure
This Cyberpunk RED Starter Set is designed specifically for players who are curious about Play By Post (PBP) roleplaying and want to learn how it works in a friendly, low-pressure environment. Over the course of one week, you’ll take part in a short Cyberpunk story told entirely through written posts, learning the basics of both the game system and the unique style of asynchronous roleplay. You’ll create a character, interact with other players (unless in a 1 on 1 game) and NPC’s which make the world alive, make meaningful choices, and experience the fast-paced world of cyberware, megacorporations, and street-level crime. Along the way, I’ll guide you through the core basic rules, dice rolls, roleplay etiquette, and the techniques that make Play By Post games engaging and enjoyable. No previous experience with Cyberpunk RED or Play By Post is required, and the Cyberpunk RED companion app is extremely user friendly to create your character and utilise for stat checks and rolls. Whether you’re completely new to tabletop RPGs, looking for a game that fits around a busy schedule, or simply curious about a different style of roleplaying, this starter set is built to help you jump in with confidence. By the end of the week, you’ll have completed a full mini-adventure and have all the tools you need to join longer Play By Post campaigns.

Creating your character
Character creation is part of the Starter Set experience and will be completed following sign up. Players will create their characters using the Cyberpunk RED Companion App, which makes the process quick and beginner-friendly. We’ll be using standard starting characters with the default character creation options provided by the app, so no previous knowledge of the rules is required. Once you’ve created your character, I’ll review it with you, answer any questions you have, and explain how the various stats, skills, and abilities could work in the game before we start playing. The goal isn’t to build the most powerful character possible, but to learn how Cyberpunk RED characters function, to make an individual in which you can have fun roleplaying as, and figuring how their uniqueness can be used in a Play By Post game. No additional books are required for this Starter Set. Everything you need to create your character and participate in the adventure will be provided or explained during the onboarding process.
