Creating your character

PREMADE CHARACTER SHEETS AVAILABLE ON REQUEST Characters start out at level 3. All official classes and species are welcome. Homebrew species and classes need DM permission. Character sheets will be made on Demiplane. If you've never built a character before, don't worry. I will walk you through the process before your first post.

Preparing for the session

You will need to sign up for a Demiplane account as well as Discord.

What Michael brings to the table

This game is play-by-post and will take place on Discord. The Discord server will be divided into different sub-servers to allow you to focus specifically on the type of action you are currently taking. These servers are: - Matters of State - Foreign Affairs - Events and Festivities - Personal Interactions - Violence This server is predominantly RP, with rolls being used in scenarios that either carry high-risk or story altering consequences. Players are encouraged to determine if an action they are taking needs a roll, and to include the result of that roll in their description of a given action. Combat will be rare, and lethality will be high. When violence occurs, players who are involved/ choose to involve themselves will be given a 48 hour window to describe 3 rounds worth of actions their characters will take. Those actions must be supported by rolls and the available actions on your character sheets, and are considered non-canon until I respond. I will respond to all posts within 24 hours, unless otherwise stated. Failure to post in 10 days without notifying me will result in removal from the server. Players will be charged every Monday. For artistic players: I am not visually artistic, but play-by-post games benefit highly from art. As such, I am willing to barter for art as a form of payment. AI Art will not be accepted. In general, I tend to lean more "Rule of Cool." I strongly encourage players to attempt shenanigans. I tend to use the rules as a guideline to keep storytelling consistent and more unpredictable, as opposed to a rigid set of limitations on what characters can and cannot do. NSFW scenes will typically fade to black, although they can be roleplayed for a small fee, AFTER the player has verified their age.

How Michael creates a safe table

There will an additional server for triggers and lines. Anything that is posted there will not be included in the game so long as the player who posted it remains involved. For players who either don't want to share their triggers publicly or don't want a personal trigger to apply to the other player's experience, you can reach out to me at any time directly and let me know so I can adjust your experience accordingly.
