About the adventure

"We've got a problem. A big one. The controller chip for our water purification system has given up the ghost. Can't make another one and the process is too complicated for a work around system. Simply put, we're running out of drinking water. No water, no Vault." You are a dweller from Vault 13. Your whole life has been spent in the safety of vault, behind the large Vault door, under a mountain of stone. Recently, the Vault's water chip broke, and you, among a few fellow dwellers, have been chosen as the ones best suited to brave the outside world and find a new water chip. For you, life is about to change. Whether you're new to the Fallout universe and TTRPGs or you're a veteran of the wasteland and roleplaying, this campaign is designed to give you the classic Fallout experience (without the need to save scum or the loss of hours of progress)!

About me

Hey! My name is Orion (pronounced "or-in"), and I have been a DM since 2022 when I first started playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends in college. I'm a writer in my free time and am currently working towards my master's degree (in Genocide Prevention and Human Security). I'm excited for you to join my table!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will meet before the game, ideally as a group, to create characters on Roll20. Robot options will be available, but everyone will be from Vault 13, and we will further discuss your dweller's role in the vault in Session 0. However, there are many threats in the wasteland, and who knows what may happen to your dweller.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Just come ready to have fun! Make sure to have a discord so I can invite you to the channel we will use to chat, and a Roll20 account, where we will play.

What Orion brings to the table

I have a loose GM style, usually siding with "rule of cool" for most things. I believe most violent interactions can be avoided with the right rolls, and more than anything, prioritize player enjoyment of the game. I am always open to thoughts/ideas/arguments from players and let the group decide certain things.

Safety

How Orion creates a safe table

The original Fallout games touch on some dark and heavy themes. Because of this, those themes will be discussed before we start, and we will go over what is and what is not okay for players. My major rule, as for what I am never okay with at my tables, are scenes with sexual abuse.
