About the adventure
Rumplank. Largest settlement on Goldcrop Island. Raucous home to sailors and swashbucklers of all stripes. Depending on who you ask, it's either paradise made real or a shanty town full of ne'er-do-wells. Or both. Everyone on Rumplank knows the legend of Poppy Von Barnacle, the Gilded Pirate, greatest sea dog who ever lived. She single-handedly turned Rumplank from a sleepy dot on a map into the notorious town it is today. Today, Prince Kalupi, lord of Castle Rumplank, has issued a call for would-be heroes. He believe he's found a map to Von Barnacle's vast treasure hoard, the likes of which is said to beggar the imagination. You are one of those who has answered the call, eager for adventure and fame. Your mission will take you through Rumplank and beyond, to the high seas and deep dungeons, in search of treasure, glory... and maybe something even more important. Jewel of the Indigo Isles is an adventure path for Pathfinder 2nd Edition. It begins at 1st level and will take its heroes all the way to level 10. We'll be using the free archetype rule from GM Core for this AP to give the player characters a little more flavor. This is a third-party adventure path, and takes place in a world well-removed from Golarion, replete with its own history and ancestries. Players of all experience levels are welcome. All my games are LGBT+ friendly.

About me
I'm a long time RPG player and GM. I ran for my high school friends on the 90s, and I've run for my current gaming group off and on for almost 20 years. I enjoy most anything that brings fun to the table, be it a crunchy dungeon crawl or a quirky indie game. As a GM, I love seeing what sorts of characters my players will bring to the game, and then throwing those characters into memorable stories with shocking twists. I've also got a fondness for Japanese tabletop RPGs, many of which are great for one-shots.

Creating your character
We'll be using standard character creation rules, plus new setting-specific ancestries and the Free Archetype variant from the Gamemastery Guide. Players are encouraged to use Pathbuilder (available free online and on mobile devices) to build their characters. Common options are always available; Uncommon and Rare options will require approval, but it will most likely be given. Pregenerated characters will also be available for anyone who wants one.
Our party consists of a human guardian, nagaji necromancer, tripkee exemplar, and minotaur alchemist. They are currently level 1
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Each player will need a working mic and an account on Discord (which we'll use both for voice chat and for communicating between sessions). Players should also download the player's guide (https://battlezoo.com/products/jewel-of-the-indigo-isles-players-guide - be sure you download the Pathfinder version, not the D&D version) for advice and new backgrounds appropriate to the Adventure Path. Finally, each player will need a (free) account on forge-vtt.com to join the game.

How Steve creates a safe table
We'll be using an X Card module in Foundry. Breaks will usually be 15 minutes and take place about 2 hours into a session. Session zero will be used for character creation in addition to discussing safety tools and potential triggers. It will be free for all players, and session 1 will be half price.
