About the adventure

This roleplay-heavy campaign will track 6 mortals during one of the most post-apocalyptic times of the world of Exandria. It is 0 PD (Post-Divergence) where the Gods have left the mortals of the world to fend for themselves, disappearing behind a Divine Gate that forbids them from interfering in a war that almost destroyed everything, until they had gone. This will include darker and more dramatic themes in a world torn asunder by constant war, fire, and ruin. In spite of this, our job is to create characters that can find light and hope in this new age. You will start subdued at level 0, with the stats of no more than a regular person. Through your various trials and tribulations, you will EARN the right to be a level 1 adventurer, and take whatever class you wish. There will be a table conversation about adding the Desperate Measures homebrew rule, as well as enforcing ammunition, encumbrance, and starvation. I will also be giving options of how the party will begin. Are you aligned with the evil Betrayer Gods? Or are you seeking hope under the light of the Prime Deities? Or perhaps you are a fractured sect of the elemental Gau Drashari? Or simply a neutral party? This will be all up to you, as long as it is a good enough reason for people to come together. Either way, the campaign is driven by the backstory and drama that your character brings to the table, among the various encounters and plot hooks within the world. I have no doubt it'll be fun and exciting, so go ahead and give it a try! 🌟 This campaign can either be run in 5e or Daggerheart, and it's honestly up to you. The system will be determined when the party reaches a full consensus.

About me

Big 27 year-old nerd here. If you're curious as to the visuals of my game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Argn1eWRX9A As a GM, I want to build something for people to have fun with, and escape their week for a few hours. Where every NPC you meet is someone you'll remember. Every choice your character makes will echo somewhere down the line. Some sessions you'll be on the edge of your seat. Others you'll be crying from laughter. Either way, we'll have fun and look forward to the next session.

Character creation

Creating your character

- Make whatever you have fit in a cooperative 5e game, and the lore of the setting. - You will essentially create a normal, mortal person that uses the basic 'Commoner' NPC stat block. From there, we talk about what feats, and tool proficiencies, and items your character may rely on. - Eventually, when you take a level 1 class, you will be given a link to D&D Beyond where you will use the character creator for ease of use.

What to expect

Safety

How Cro creates a safe table

I tend to veil shocking things, but a lot of that is peeled back, because this is a dark setting. I never describe evil acts in a positive light. That being said, I would not say this game is for people with a distaste for gruesome things.
