About the adventure

Welcome to Grayce, a small agricultural town on the southern border of the mist-shrouded nation of Ustalav, just across the river from the Gravelands, where undead roam freely. What starts as a charming town quickly reveals itself to be a hotbed of gothic folklore, creeping mysteries, and dangers that the locals would rather not talk about. Our campaign starts with an introductory adventure, where you explore the ruins of a fallen temple. From there, depending on the group's taste, we'll dive into three to four adventures from the Troubles in Grayce anthology. You can expect investigation, dungeon exploration, and memorable characters. The tone will sit somewhere between cozy folktale, easy-going spooky atmosphere and light horror. I’m happy to play with experienced players, but also find it rewarding to help newcomers discover the world of Pathfinder. ---- SHORT DISCLAIMER (in case you missed it): This listing/campaign will be held in german. If you're still interested, I will soon have an english listing up for this campaign. It might even be up right now, please check my other games :). Thank you!

About me

Hi there! I'm Elise, a trans GM, who loves creating stories. I'm really passionate about crafting an immersive and memorable tabletop experience. While I grew up heavily influenced by D&D games like Baldur's Gate 1&2, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment, I've just started picking up the GM mantle around 2017/2018. Since then, I've been telling stories at the table and diving into fantastic worlds. Although my preferred GM style resolves around heroic goody two-shoes adventures, I've been running games with completely different tones. In the future, I'd like to expand my GM expertise around games like Avatar Legends, Vagabond, Legend in the Mist, Daggerheart and Fabula Ultima. My goal here is very simple: - Create a safe, inclusive, welcoming environment at my table - Prioritise clear communication and player comfort - Make sure everyone has a great time I enjoy running games for all types of players, especially new players. I'm always happy to explain rules and help with character creation in a humble and non-overwhelming way.

Character creation

Creating your character

Our first session (referred to as session 0) will be used to set expectations and talk about basic but necessary topics to ensure a smooth experience. We will also create characters together. I can also offer pre-generated characters for anyone who'd rather jump straight into playing. Otherwise, feel free to come up with one or two character concepts beforehand. Having a few ideas ready helps us build a balanced party together during session 0. Your characters start at Level 1. All official PF2e content is allowed. If things are too overwhelming, we can also keep it simple with just the core rulebook options. Uncommon options are generally fine, but please check with me first for rare options and my approval on them, so we can make sure they fit the tone and setting of the campaign. I'll also consider applying the Free Archetype variant rule depending on the group's makeup.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We'll be playing on The Forge, which I use for running Foundry VTT. You'll need a free Forge account to join. Character creation will be handled through Pathbuilder, and we'll use Discord for our sessions and outside communication.

What Elise_Enchantment brings to the table

I will provide you a nice experience with this premium module. On Foundry, I frequently use (battle-)maps, and sometimes create my own with Dungeondraft. You can also expect music and sounds for tension, ambience or combat. Artworks and handouts are also provided to help the immersion during gameplay. As I wish to get back to voice training, I will probably not utilize different voices all too much, but I can still try to give you a good shot at it :). I stick close to the rules, but keeping a session flowing and players having fun is an even higher value I like to uphold.

Homebrew rules

I use a slight alteration to the hero point system: - I give out 1 hero point at the start of the session and per hour to everyone - spending all your hero points stabilises you at 1 HP I also love using the Free Archetype variant rule.

How Elise_Enchantment creates a safe table

A consent checklist helps me understand my players better and what topics to avoid. With a session 0 I set expectations, but also talk about my own boundaries and listen to yours. During a session, X cards can be used, but you can also whisper me or send a private message on discord. I'll then adjust the current scene properly. Same goes for lines and veils, to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Breaks are also important, so I will provide a 15 min break. Finally, we end our session by using stars and wishes, talk about our highlights and what you possibly want for future sessions.
