About the adventure

The country of Cyllene is run by the coven of the bright daughters, a trio of fae who fought to take land from the surrounding humanoids in order to make a place for the peoples they demonized. Whether you be vampiric, Lycanthropic, goblinoid, gnollish, or any number of other things, you were welcome in this place. The trio themselves were assembled by their elder, known as the Crohne, Amalthea. She assembled the hags and founded the four courts, who were based on the courts back in the faewilds where she had spent her early childhood. The Vernal Court, Aestival Court, Sere Court, and Brumal Court. Each court’s denizens chose a leader for themselves to represent their courts. For decades, they have known nothing but the growing pains of a blossoming country, with the occasional antagonizing skirmish from the countries surrounding them, who dislike the fact that there is an entire nation of allied “monsters”. A few years ago, Amalthea the Crohne died. The Matron and Maiden of the coven, Matron Ganymede and Maiden Rhea took on the roles of Crohne and Matron, becoming Matron Rhea, and Crohne Ganymede. They have been without a third member for the past 5 years, leaving them without coven magics. The surrounding countries have grown restless, as word of Crohne Amalthea’s death spread. Luckily, the Daughters of the Bright Moon can add a new member to their coven. It involves a ritual that can only be performed during a lunar eclipse. Luckily, there is a lunar eclipse in one month’s time- so they will not be without their third member for much longer. However… They still must decide on who they find worthy to take that place, on top of a new problem: Navigating the tumultuous politics of their country on top of it. To this end, theyve decided to host a month long celebration of the moon, sending for the leaders and their full entourage to assemble in the capital for them to choose from amongst their number whom they will make the new Maiden.

About me

Hey there! I've been involved in the TTRPG community for 6 years now, and GMing for about 5. I specialise in running creative homebrewed campaigns, often inspired by my favourite periods of history or pieces of media. One of my personal favourites was one inspired by Harry Potter! I have also more recently been a part of the founding of a company dedicated to creating DnD supplement books: Hit Die Productions. Our flagship project, the Corpus Arcana, was just released following a successful Kickstarter campaign, and we've already started work on our next major project (So excited!!). Over these last 5 years I've also been building an absolutely lovely discord community. It is what I would consider to be one of my greatest achievements as a GM. The level of support and comradery shown by these people, old and new friends alike, is truly humbling and I am forever grateful for them. So, if you're looking to join a great community and take part in telling some fantastical stories together, I would be thrilled to have you as a player!

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll go over all the rules for character creation and actually do the creation itself during our session zero, but the basics are: Starting at 6th level stat gen is 4d6 drop the lowest, but the sum total must be at least 70. Anything further we can discuss in session zero <3

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: A roll20 account (FREE!) a discord account (ALSO FREE!) a computer of some sort (roll20 does not work on mobile. TT^TT) A decent mic (we just need to hear you clearly) a quiet place to play (background noise should be minimal, though we know shit happens.) Your beautiful self <3

What Emjee brings to the table

I provide music, marvelous maps, silly voices for my characters, and a safe environment for roleplay!

Homebrew rules

Drinking a healing potion can be done as a bonus action and you roll for healing as normal, or you can expend a full action to take maximum healing. Giving a potion to someone else is a full action. Additionally, I use a fun little system called AURA POINTS as a reward on top of dm inspirations. You gain aura points when you do something funny or cool, and you can spend them on different abilities, which we can go over in session zero.

Safety

How Emjee creates a safe table

We utilize XNO cards, lines and veils, and post game check ins to ensure everybody's having a good time! I always encouraged everyone to reach out to me in whatever way makes them comfortable at ANY time that they are even a little uncomfortable- even if the event in question happened weeks ago! My DMS are ALWAYS open to players. Most of the tags are there simply because the nature of the game involves monstrous races, and I try to be as thorough as possible. If you have further questions about anything, or see something you don't want involved in the game, let me know and we can make sure it doesn't come up within game. We go over all of this in our session zeroes as well!
