About the adventure
At the edge of civilization stands a lonely keep: the last safe place before the wilderness, the unknown, and the monster-haunted caves beyond. This is where heroes are made! Heroes of the Borderlands is a 2024 D&D starter campaign designed for players who want a guided, approachable way into the game. The adventure focuses on the core pillars of D&D: combat, exploration, and roleplaying. You will meet NPCs, make choices, explore dangerous areas, and learn the game through play. This is a great fit if you are new to D&D, returning after a long break, or curious about the 2024 rules. You do not need to know the rules, own any books, or have online play experience. Expect a classic fantasy starter experience: a keep full of rumors, wild lands to explore, enemies to face, and the chance to become the kind of heroes people tell stories about.

About me
My first experience with TTRPGs was a doomed Tomb of Annihilation campaign almost 10 years ago where in the first session I accidentally killed an important NPC. Since then I have played and run many more games of DnD and have explored various other TTRPG systems. One of my favorite new systems is Pirate Borg, a rules-light system centered around pirates in a alternate version of the Caribbean. I've run games for friends in person and online, at cons and at my local games store. Through that I have meet many new people and made new friends. I like creating stories to immersion the players in a open sandbox world, giving the players options and freedom to explore.

You can bring your own character or I can help you make one. This is a starter-friendly 2024 D&D game, so simple characters are welcome. You do not need to know all the rules before joining. Good character concepts include: A young fighter looking for their first real test A cleric sent to help the keep A rogue looking for opportunity on the frontier A wizard seeking old lore in dangerous places A guard, scout, merchant’s escort, or local hero A wanderer drawn to rumors of monsters and treasure Character guidelines: Start at level 1 2024 D&D rules Official 2024 options preferred Standard Array or Point Buy for ability scores Homebrew requires approval first Characters should be cooperative No evil characters unless discussed first If you are brand new, I can provide a pre-generated character or walk you through character creation step by step.
