About the adventure

# Quintus Malevolus In the grim darkness of the far future, countless worlds vanish from Imperial records every year. Some fall to xenos invasions. Others are consumed by war, rebellion, or disaster. A rare few simply disappear. For centuries, the world of Quintus Malevolus has existed only as a footnote in forgotten archives—a colony lost beyond the reach of the Imperium. Astropathic communication ceased long ago, and all attempts to reestablish contact ended in silence. Eventually, the Administratum marked the planet as abandoned, and history moved on. Now, that silence has been broken. An ancient distress signal, buried beneath centuries of static, has suddenly resurfaced. The message is fragmented and incomplete, but one thing is clear: someone—or something—is still calling for help. In response, an Imperial vessel has been dispatched to investigate. Its passengers include soldiers, specialists, agents, and servants of the Emperor, each carrying their own duties, ambitions, and secrets. What should have been a routine reconnaissance mission quickly becomes something far more unsettling. Conflicting records, impossible readings, and troubling reports suggest that Quintus Malevolus may not be the dead world the Imperium believed it to be. As the expedition draws closer, questions begin to mount. Who sent the signal? How could it have survived for so long? Why has no one answered before now? And what could possibly remain on a world forgotten by mankind for generations? The truth waits in the darkness. Quintus Malevolus is a Warhammer 40,000 campaign focused on exploration, survival, mystery, and the creeping horror of the unknown. Players will uncover lost histories, navigate dangerous alliances, and confront threats that challenge not only their strength, but their faith and sanity. Every choice matters, resources are limited, and knowledge can be as dangerous as any weapon. The Emperor's light reaches far across the galaxy. Whether it still reaches Quintus Malevolus remains to be seen.

About me

~20 years of rpg gaming which led me to DND... Needless to say, I've found something that I can throw my creative juices into! I love to create worlds where the players can immerse themselves and let their imaginations run wild. I am not the biggest "rulebook" stickler - meaning I'm ok twisting some things or homebrewing here and there. That said, there is always going to be some structure in the form of precedent and clear communication of how to address certain scenarios moving forward. I wouldn't call myself the 'premier' choice of DM, but I want to make this content accessible and grow from the experience playing with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

This is a highly homebrewed setting so we will be focused on introduction and character creation in our first session together.

What DM Chuck brings to the table

I want to make the world YOURS, and I strongly believe that my ideas alone are not going to be the best for everyone's fun. I can push the content and direction, but strongly encourage the players to make this escape truly their own as well. I will be bringing VTT content, overarching story, character development, and encounters. You bring your character concept, and engage with the world to make it your own.
